Clock stop working/ Rotten egg smell
I have to take my car in, the clock stop working all of a sudden, also when I am on the highway sometimes I can smell pungent odour like a rotten egg smell. I used strictly premuim gas from Esso. Anyone experience these problems.
The only time I've seen or heard of this issue was a TSB for running the RDX out of gas and thus causing engine misfire to fuck up the catalytic converter. No amount of cabin filtering can completely remove the smell of a burn cat (Although BMW claims you can drive behind a diesel truck with theirs and not smell a whiff).

I know its probably the catalytic converter, I was wondering if they put cheap gas in my car the day I went to pick it up from the dealer. The clock did come back on, off and on I guess I should change my screen name. I am going to Acura tomorrow for them to fix the car.
Is this an '09?
I usually get stuck with the lower octane about once a year because the attendant fucks up and puts in 89 out of habit. But you can bet I'll be watching them like a hawk from now on if this is what will happen.

No, this is a 2010 made in April. I saw the Dealer today the Service manager look at my car, while going the clock came on and stayed on until I get there. He came out to look on the clock so I turn on the accessories first and then start, the clock didn't come on until about 30 sec. he said there was possible a delay from the GPS,but he wasn't sure he said that he was going to call Acura engineer to discuss it with them. The rotten egg smell he also will discuss with the engineers to find out what could be causing it, he says it is more of a software issue than hardware they will have make some adjustment to the ECU. Since I used a different gas now I haven't smell it. So hopefully I will get a good response. They are planning to keep my car for a day or two
I wonder if simply resetting your ECU would help. I know it's at the dealer now, but if they don't come up with a quick solution, maybe try disconnecting the battery for a few hours, reconnecting it, and letting the ECU reset.
As far as the rotten egg smell goes, I wonder if it was actually the gasoline you were burning--I am no expert, but I wonder if that was really the root cause. Just to let you know, I get my oil changed at Jiffy Lube (don't yell at me for that please). Anyway, they top off your windshield washer reservoir as a "convenience" to you. Perhaps they don't even do that anymore...but don't let them! I was baffled for sometime trying to figure out what smelled rotten. I believe it was the water they put in the windshield reservoir--the Jiffy Lube used water with a high sulfur content...that is what they said, but I sometimes wonder if they just used reclaimed water. Anyway, tell them not to top off your windshield washer reservoir and add the good stuff yourself. I now just say, "...only change the oil...please no fluid top-offs, no adding air to my tires, no need to "clean" the windsheild..."
Since all of this at 24,450kms, 16 months later, I am still having issues, I am thinking to sell my car. Navigation had to be replace twice because of a broken CD player, Navigation froze, center console at the shifer the sliver part is stripping, cracked under wheel well cover had to be replace twice, still gets the rotten egg smell from time to time, cv boot has oil on it, has to be checked out, the engine is leaking oil!! upper valve cover needs to be replace. I am thinking to contact Honda/Acura head office. Any sugggestion or advice would be greatly appreciated.
