Tire Rotation

At what miliage can I epect to get a message on the MID to rotate tires? I have 5550 miles now and some Mfg's recommend 5000, others recommend 6000 miles. Is the miliage based soley on miles driven or does speed somehow enter into the number?

I believe its factored in with the oil changes.

so every 5-6000 miles. or when ever your MID asks you to perform an oil change. I think its indicated by the "B service"

When the MID shows a "1" after an "A" or "B", it's time to rotate your tires. For example, A1 service would mean change engine oil & rotate tires. "A" designates the oil change and "1" designates the tire rotation.

I rotate mine every 5,000 miles, and ignore the "1" when the A/B service is required. If I solely went by the MID, I'd be rotating my tires every 9,000 miles.
