Class action lawsuit: Engine oil consumption and TSB 13-006

My TSX is consuming oil and was verified by the dealer but since it's over the 125,000 extended warranty issued under TSB 13-006, Acura refused to fix it. I'm considering filing a class action lawsuit and have discussed this issue with an attorney specialized in class action lawsuits, their firm handed the Subaru class action lawsuit and won Subaru Owners Win Compensation And Warranty Boost For Oil-Burning Cars

If you've had the same issue with your TSX consuming crazy amounts of oil, it's the faulty engine and you probably need pistons and rings replaced, please let me know how it was resolved and if you're interested in joining me, please PM privately.

You've posted this in the 4G TL section.

The TSB you reference appears to be for the 4cyl engine with MT which is not offered in the TL.

Oil Consumption test bad. 2009 Acura TL SWD

We are having the same issue and our dealership keeps telling us the engine and parts are on back order. But they have agreed there is an issue. I am supposed to get a call back Friday with next steps as he mentioned his direct supervisor and he will be seeing how they can expedite the engine block. Sounds like another way for him to skirt around the issue with me. I did let him know I learned of the Class Action Suit and that others are aware so I am hoping they are serious about wanting to help. Have you learned anything new?

So apparently it's NOT the aluminum Silitec cylinder liners that causing this issue as some uninformed people have been falsely claiming.

This is TSX right? I'm searching for answers as well. Dealer blamed my driving habit for the problem even though I drive it easy and meticulously maintain it. PM'd you.

My '11 TSX (6 speed man) has burnt oil since new. You can see my service records here http://myacurasucks.com Please spare me the insulting maintenance questions, our '03 MDX has 190K so we do our maintenance. Honda is not standing behind these cars. They have already lost a class action to the tune of 1.6 million cars but that is worded so they don't have to do anything unless you are burning more than a quart of oil per 1000 miles. THIS IS NOT NORMAL AND DON'T LET ANYONE TELL YOU IT IS (Excessive Oil Consumption Isn't Normal - Consumer Reports), yes I'm blithely ignoring Consumer Reports' love fest with Honda. I will join any class action but I'm not naive; the last class action was worded so that Honda did not have to fix many cars and... well... the lawyers got paid.

Why are you posting about your TSX in the TL section? Post and complain in the TSX section or PM the OP

And why wouldn't you just sell the car?
