Chrome Trim/Weatherstrip on Sides of Rear Window

Just seeing if anyone knows how easy these would be to replace DIY. I had one replaced previously but the weatherstrip on the other is now loose and flopping around. My car will be out of the CPO warranty before I can get to this so I wanted to see if this could be a DIY job or not.

I'll admit I'm not overly handy, but I can do basic maintenance type things like change my air filters, etc. just didn't know if this required special tools to remove and reinstall, etc.

You can sort of see the splitting weatherstrip in this photo.

These are the chrome pieces I'm referring to. They run up along the roof of the car to along the side of the rear window (shown). The one with the splitting rubber is the one the runs along the roof, not the one from the roof to the trunk.

I haven't replaced this myself, but be careful if you do decide to DIY as it can be easily dent(bend). This happened to the technician that was installing this piece on my car when it was repainted, which caused me to wait a whole week. Also, if I recall correctly the hard part is this is one whole piece from front to back, so may need an extra set of hands. Good luck.

In the summer time, the gap (edge of rear window) can get larger, you can force it with you hands to close the gap. It can move up to 1/8 inch. I don't think it's glued in and I think it would be a pain in the button to replace the whole trim.

I have a similar issue, only the rubber stripping is peeling away from the piece that runs from the front windshield to the back window. I am contemplating replacing it. From the parts fiche, it appears to be held in by clips, so it should be pretty easy to remove. I didn't even think about potentially damaging the new one when reinstalling. Now I'm as little hesitant to do it. Covering the new trim with a cloth and gently pressing down with a long flat rigid tool seems like a good method.
