Whats up guys? New to the site but as the name goes I finally got my dream car. A 2010 TL TECH. Its pretty much stock and plan to keep it that way but some mods will be made. So my first addition to the car was to install the cargo hooks. I got them offline not knowing it would require a Rivet tool that only Honda/Acura has. And to buy it would cost me 100 bucks. WTF??? My question is has anybody used an alternative to the honda only tool? Any advice would help. Thanks in advance.

 

I used a bolt, and some nuts on my wifes Civic to install her cargo net. It also required a rivet gun but there is a work around that. Try searching on a Honda civic forums for cargo net install, they have one with pictures etc on how to use the nuts and bolt to install the rivet nut.

 

even I am looking forward to install this. I had this in my old Accord and found very useful. But as you said, installation charge is more than double the original hook price
