is ur tpms working?
iirc, you can't disable vsa if the tpms is not working/missing

tpms = tire pressure monitoring system? that might explain it...... i was getting a low pressure warning and had to add some more air to the tires today....

yep TPMS is the Tire Pressure Monitoring System.

I dunno what the safety rationale is for that, but for whatever reason, honda decided that if the TPMS light is on (tpms error, or no sensors, etc), vsa cannot be disabled.

^yeah, i didnt believe it at first. Then my tpms went haywire for 6 months (6 mo because my acura stealership's techs could not figure it out for that long).

While i was researching what it could be, i came across that, and so i tried it when my light was on, and surely, VSA wouldnt go off. They eventually found out the issue for my TPMS, they tried to tell me it was because it was "plugged into the mexican tpms plug", but what really happened is somebody had bent a pin somewhere. They come up with the greatest excuses, like blaming my HONDA steelies for TPMS not working... etc.

If you are really stuck in a situation where you DO need to turn off the VSA and your TPMS has gone to the dogs... pull the VSA fuse out. Safety first! Don't fool with this stuff because its gonna byte you. Only if you really have to!

Becasue the winter tires are mandatory here in Quebec , I use a steel wheels for my winter tire and I didn't get the pressure sensors as they are pretty expensive. On the first winter I was wondering why I cannot turn off the VSA and searching here I found out if TPMS is on error state , no possible to disable the VSA which sometimes in winter you wanted off to get off snow plow.

lol, btw op, if your tpms was going off, that tire pressure would've been pretty low, i would monitor that tire for a leak, and check for any punctures. better to be safe!
