I just bought a '12 SH Advance w/ 5K on it...love it (Had a '06 MDX). However, I've had it in service 3 times already. The seat feels like I am sitting on a drum stick. It's unbearable. Has anyone had issues with the seat? I'm starring at selling a car I've owned for 3 weeks. That's a hit I really don't want to take.

I have no idea what to do. Any help for this newb is greatly appreciated.

My only complaint with my '12 TL/SH AWD/Tech, is that the seat doesn't tilt high enough,for my long legs. Other than that, it's the best of the 5 Acura's I've leased.

op... can you be more specific?
if it's in ur lower back area, there's a button to adjust the lumbar support.
you said it was in for service 3 times, did they verify the problem as well? did they replace the seat?

There are metal anchors along the seam of the leather seat covers (both seats have them...much more pronounced on the driver seat). I actually stopped another Acura TL driver (2011...mine's a 2012) in a parking lot and asked to see his seat...no metal anchors and totally comfortable. He sat in my seat and was horrified.

I've had 4 people sit in the seat and they were all blown away about how bad it is. There is no way every 2012 TL has seats like this.

They have called the Acura rep and they said they are replacing the seat cover. They already replaced the cushion, but I think these cushions have the metal anchors in them so the seat cover will do nothing.

I had a 05 tl with 145k and just bought a 09 tl with 50k and my other seat was def. much more comfortable maybe its one of those things that you just have to "wear" in but like the other poster said the lumbar button I constantly adjust it just never feels right
