Brake pedal

Hello all,

Have a 2012 tl AWD and recently I've been getting a vibrating sensation when I press my brakes, this happens even when in park so I don't think it's the rotors. I also pressed the pedal with my hand and I still feel the vibration. It almost feels as if the pedal is hesitates when I press/push it down. Anyone know what this can be? Thanks

I'm confused..so you're in park..not moving..you press the brake and its vibrating? If so, pull the ebrake, put the car in neutral and press the brake, again while not moving, and does it still vibrate? The car revs higher while in neutral so if you're having a idling issue, that would help figure out that.

But like I said, clarify your post

I apologize for the confusion.
The car can be in neutral or park and i still feel the pedal vibrate when pushed down. It's almost as if there are few clicks when I press down. The pedal eventually goes down without problem, but when I start to first push is when I feel the issue. Hope this helps.

I mean, you don't feel it anywhere else in the car? When you press it, its only the brake pedal? Turn off your ac and radio, pop your hood, hear anything odd in there? How are the brakes while you drive?

If it doesn't vibrate while "braking" then I'd have to think it has something to do with engine stability meaning maybe a cylinder issue or spark plugs.

I mean you have a 2012, so I assume its still under warranty, if you can easily duplicate the issue, and something went bad, then it should be replaced under warranty. Especially if its a cylinder issue, you'd want that taken care of under warranty, but being a 2012, I'd be surprised, something may have just gotten clogged

Only the brake pedal, no other issue. Brakes are working fine. I can't figure out why it's doing that. I was thinking maybe the ABS kicked on there is no light saying it's on. Just a stupid hesitation when I push down. I opened up the area around the pedal to see if something is touching the pedal and couldn't find anything.

Update:

Put the car on this morning and vibration was not there, drive it for 30 mins and it's back. Seems to happen when car is driven for a while.

Maybe air in the brake line? Call Midas and they'll probably give you a couple opinions over the phone

Could it have something to do with my tires. I changed my tires and rims from 20s to 18s and had them balanced twice yet my car still shakes very bad. And like I said when I put the car on this morning, no issues.. But then I drive it for 30 mins and yes the car did shake a lot, and the problem came back. Could it have something to do with that?

Sounds like you have a decent amount going on bud. Just go to a dealership.
