Yesterday, I was stuck in traffic for what seemed to be an eternity. A normal 40 minute ride home took 80 minutes. Don't know why, don't really care.
During my travel, I was listening to my HDD. About 40 minutes in, the song began to skip about every 4-5 seconds. I switched off to an XM station and the same thing. Switched to a CD and still the same thing.
I shut the radio off and turned it back on - still happened. I shut the car off for 30 seconds - still happened.
Finally, I get fed up and shut it off for a long while. After being curious, I turned the radio back on and it seemed okay. Though after two songs it came back.

Anyone ever experience this or have any suggestions on what it could be? I'm pretty sure a service tech would not be able to diagnose this since it appears extremely intermittent.

The only thing I want to say is, if any abnormal thing happen to your car, get your phone out, take picture/video. When you bring it in service, even if they can't replicate or play dumb, at least you have proof to push for more intensive checking
