Any settings needed after replacing the battery?

Hi,

I might need to replace battery in my 2012 TL SHAWD. I wonder if anything needs reset after I disconnect the old battery and install the new battery. Has anyone had done that?

Thanks,
z

Good question. Radio/nav code for sure. I don't know about all the settings regarding door locks, lights, seats, mirrors, etc.

seems to be lots of work. I personally don't like, but I may have to use a battery tender to save the headache...

LOL... No, radio and Navigation are not an issue. I have heard there was something else, though... like electric window, electric sun-roof etc. Not sure if that concern is true.

I just checked and I do not have the codes I need after a battery failure. How do I get the codes? Any way to get them from the stereo? Call Acura or what do I have to do? I need those just in case.

If you have an owner's manual, the card for the radio and nav should be in there with the codes. There are no other settings you need to change. The ECU will need to relearn the idle process as well as your transmission but that happens automatically over the next 100 miles or so. There's nothing you really need to do for that.
