Advice On Stripped Screw Hole

When changing a gasket on my j pipe to fix a leak, a stud from the exhaust manifold stripped out of the hole. I found a replacement stud but I also need the hole tapped out. Any ideas how much the dealer would charge to tap out the hole?

use a drill and drill the center out, it should slowly crack into pieces.

but the bigger question is.. are those 21's on your ride?

The stud is out. It's the hole that it threads into that's stripped. Nope they are 20"s

I would say go to the auto parts store or Sear if you have one there and get the MM tip kit and just tap it from a m12 to m14 or something like that and get that size bolt and the same length and a lock washer and you be good to go. so i hope that help you out.
