I have a 2012 SHAWD 6MT with 93K on it. When the car is warmed up and the engine is under load (pulling a hill at highway speed in 6th gear), I get a bit of a nasty exhaust smell. Doesn't really happen at any other time. Dealer has been unable to reproduce it on several occasions and says there aren't any exhaust leaks. Any insight?! Thanks in advance! For what it's worth, my parents have a 2014 Odyssey that does something similar when it's going uphill when towing a trailer.

if your RPMS are high enough I can see exhaust emissions producing a smell. It's similar to when you push it in an auto and smell that salty smell from the exhaust afterwards. But at highway speeds in 6th gear, I imagine your RPMS are not higher than 3k. Maybe check your filters?

Check for oil leaking from the oil plug washer on to the hot exhaust pipes thus creating the smell
