2012 CBP Owners?

Hi, first time poster. Just picked up sh-awd advance about a month ago. Finally had the chance to detail the car and noticed what looks to be putting in the clear coat, especially bad on fenders/hood. Anyone else's car look like this? I'm addressing it through the dealer since they painted the rear bumper nighthawk black pearl.

It looks like the hood and fender were repainted to me. Some one didn't do a good job at cleaning the car before painting it that's y it looks like spider crack on the clear coat.

Ugh. Looks like the dreaded "crows feet" that has plagued a lot of late model dark colored Honda's and Acura's. It's actually a defect in the paint underneath the clear coat. Get that to the dealer ASAP and get them to cover it under warranty.

BDogg I think you may be right. The cracking on the rear c pillar could be from bird doo doo but the pitting looks like a bad paint job. Car is at the dealer now for this and some other issues. Kinda getting the run around right now. They are trying to say it's maybe environmental. Either way it ain't right. They then said they can have their detailers work it. My response was I don't won't your detailers touching it since I just got all the swirl marks out from their last "detail". Next step is having a paint guy look at it along will an Acura rep later this week. I also found out my rear bumper is painted night hawk black pearl and their response was well we didn't paint it car fax is clean. Argh! This is going to go on for awhile. Wish me luck.

There's no amount of detailing that will fix that. The paint beneath the clear coat is cracking. Compounding and polishing will only clean up the clear coat. Once the paint itself is damaged, it needs to be repainted.

I had the same issue, they repainted the entire car. The dealer will most likely try to fight you over it at first, but stand your ground on it. There are a few threads on the crows feet issue on here. Google will bring up more on the matter.

Got a call from the dealership yesterday from the service manager. They had a body shop and Acura rep look at and determined that it is solvent pop in the clear. They believe the car has been repainted which I disagree. I saw no evidence of a repaint except for the rear bumper which is a different color. At this point the service manager is handing it over to the sales manger. They have had the car over a week now. They did loan me a brand new 15 tlx tech with 200 miles on it.

Got some sort of resolution today talking with the sales manager. My options are have the car repainted or they will swap with a comparable car. I think I will have it repainted as long as it's done with a reputable shop. He stated that Acura rep would not warranty the paint since they think it has had paint work. Myself and the sales manager agree that the car has not had any work done. He stated that the dealership will eat the cost to ensure that I'm satisfied.
