2012 3.7 TL Oil Burning/Codes

Hello everyone. I have a 2012 TL with the J37. I’ve only had it for a month now and I have some problems…

It’s burning oil and has a good amount of valve noise… I’m hoping putting 3/4 10w and 1/4 liquid molly or something equivalent might help. thoughts?

Another thing is the codes. It gets the awd light and i know it’s actually not working since it’s snowing over here at the moment. It also gets a couple evap/emission codes. I’ve noticed the gas mileage is terrible. I’ve had an odyssey with the j35 and there’s no way it ever gets 6-7 mpg. Fuel Cap wire is snapped idk if that has anything to do with it. The codes come and go.

Im putting pictures of the codes the cars showing.. I know some people say it’s the purge valve etc. but i just want to make sure before i buy anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The bigger question is how much do you have to spend?

For what it's worth, a lot of engine noise and high oil consumption resulted in a whole new engine for my car back in 2019.

Kinda scaring me here… Maintenance on this is getting more pricey than on my mercedes lol…

Im going to try swapping the oil and pray that the other code is just a clogged up cat

Hopefully it is just something simple. I had the "tighten fuel cap" issue last year and looking into it turned up two separate evap system leaks. These cars are just getting old now.

I got lucky I changed the fuel cap and for right now the evap codes aren’t coming back after I reset it. Hopefully it was just fuming out from there.
