2010 SH-AWD acceleration?

Hello everyone. I've had my TL since 2010 and I love it, (of course). But I have an issue that I'd like to get some clarification on. It might not even be an issue, all together but, none-the-less worth a try.

I have an automatic. When selecting sport shift, acceleration between 1 and 2nd gear is VERY nice and linear. But acceleration in the middle of 3rd gear wanes out JUST before vtec. Well... there-in lies another issue. With the 5-speed auto, is the gear ratio supposed to let the car DROP out of vtec if shifting at redline? I feel as if, when shifting into 3rd gear, the car drops out of vtec. Then when attempting to get back in, the car completely lags (almost feels like the transmission is slipping) then gets back into it's power band.

In short, when accelerating in sports shift, gears 1 and 2 are great. It stays in vtec power band when shifting at redline. BUT with 3rd gear, while IN the gear (not while shift but when already in the gear), the car lags every time between 4 and 5k rpm before continuing on. and I'm able to recreate it reliably.

I went to my dealer but I think that my service adviser blew me off because I'm still under warranty. I'm thinking about getting other opinions from other dealers. But I wanted to get everyone's opinions and experiences here, first.

Is this behavior normal? Is there a lag in acceleration while in 3rd gear on the autos?

Thanks

Are you giving its partial throttle or WOT?

WOT. I managed to record a video of the symptom. I'll upload it to FB and paste the link.

With later tests, I found that it only happens when I'm in sports shift mode. I can't recreate it in (D) automatic.

Why is the video posting twice?

My car does the same thing. I have a 12 shawd auto. Took it to the dealer and there is nothing they can do.
