Wheel gap-a tradition continues.....
Hi everyone,
I have read on many forums (here and TOV) on how bad the wheel gap is on the TL and other Acura/Honda products. I came across the following link and just burst out laughing and thought I should share:
http://rumors.automobilemag.com/hond...on-182309.html
Myself, I don't think that the TL suffers from the wheel gap problem but I have seen many posts (some directed at me) to have the TL dropped because of the huge wheel gap. I never felt it was a problem on the TL and this link with the picture of the Accord puts things in perspective
Enjoy....My, how Honda has come a LONGGGG way since those days....

6G TLX-S
The 4G TL already has minimal wheel gaps than most of the Honda/Acura products.
Thinking back, I can almost stick my foot inside the wheel gaps on my previous 2G TL-S and on my previous 2G Integra GS.

I was fine with the OEM wheel gap for a long time. I went the inexpensive direction and got H&R Sports Springs and I can now see why people drop their car.

Weather, my H&R Springs were only $245. I thought it was a relatively small investment for an excellent mod. I'm not sure if the 4G TL pricing would be the same as the 3G, but it's worth looking in to.

They were installed at the dealership.

Doesn't seem too bad. I think Nissan is the worst. Higher wheel gap up front.

^^^^ As far as I know, yes. One of the reasons I had the dealership install them is because if I had any problems, I can go back to them.

Quite frankly, the wheel gap on the TL isn't that bad in my opinion. I can see how people would would to drop it a little but I already find it hard to stick my hand/arm when I try and clean the wheel well, can't imagine how this could be done if I dropped it any further. I just used the picture as a dramatic example of a REAL wheel gap problem *lol*
PS....If I kept my car long enough, I'd likely modify it a bit more than I do now but I would hate to invest too much money for the next owner....bad enough they will get a ca who has never been driven in the rain/snow and has very very low mileage!
