WDP: Can't Decide Stock vs Black Vinyl Roof

Hey everyone,

Looking for a couple of favours, anyone with a WDP with black vinyl roof mind posting pictures? I look at my WDP 12 TL and sometimes i want to do the black vinyl roof and sometimes do not, having a hard time deciding. My TL is all stock planning on doing rims in a year or so and MAYBE sideskirts - not a fan of the rear skirts. Wouldnt mind seeing some examples.

Heres my baby. I also like the Chrome Trim.

I agree. Stock is nicer. Vinyl looks cheap. If you really like the black roof, I personally would get it painted.

I'm in this same dilemma, I just got my BWP as well and wanted to do a black vinyl on the roof then get a black rear wing, but then I like the stock look with a BWP rear wing and it looks clean also. I'm having a hard time deciding...

the beauty of vinyl is you can always remove it! give it a shot and make a call for yourself

Blacked out roof looks weak unless you have some mods to go along with it, if you were lowered with skirt package and wheels it might look good but not on a stock TL.

I dunno. I have a stock BWP TL, and I feel that it can pull off the gloss black vinyl look as long as you have tints. To each their own though:

I considered it, but i think it would disrupt the look of one uniform piece. I like the way it slopes from the roof into the rear glass. With the tints and vinyl roof, it looks like it is just one slab of black which I prefer. If someone has pics to help me decide, that would be great.

Prior to placing the vinyl on the roof, cut a whole for the fin itself, then cut it bigger and make it fit as you stretch and tuck. For wrapping the fin itself, the only proper way would probably be two piece with a seem in the middle of the fin.

this is a pretty hot look worth consideration:

I'm sure I can find a place that would paint it... where can vinyl be done?

since you're in Toronto, I'd recommend speaking to Nextmod and seeing what they could have done. There's also a company called ReStyleIt which is well known for vinyl throughout the Toronto area.

I love the way the black roof looks on a white car. If I had a white car this would be a must.

will do. i want it to be nice and shiny, so it almost looks like an extension of the glass. Kind of like this babe:
