UFmike316 2012 SH-AWD Build Thread

I just got new wheels and tires and will be doing more mods in the next couple weeks and will update this thread as i go:
first, added 20" Ace Convex Titanium 20x8.5 +38 wheels
255/35/20 Michelin Pilot Supersports
Tein SS Coils have been ordered and will be installed soon. I wasnt planning on lowering the car, but with the aggressive offset and larger tires i went with (to avoid lowering ironically), i feel like it needs one now. i was torn between 19s and 20s, and may sell these and replace them with 19s as i prefer a more OEM-style look.
mods i will detail with DSLR pics in the future are:
XLR8 cross drilled rotors
JNC Headlights
Tein SS lowered suspension (planning on a conservative 1" drop up front and .6" rear)

iphone pics for now:

Looks good. The drop will make a big difference. I think Buddy has the same wheels...

Car look great a drop and it will look even better. The caliper cover add a nice touch to the wheels. I have then on my ride and get lots of compliment but most of the guys here make fun of then.

Loving the choice in tire, the super sports are amazing.

I feel like the gunmetal wheels are working against you hence the more apparent wheelgap - if you had something in a brighter color it would visually create more contrast and "hide" the wheel gap, kind of how it works on my car. Can't wait to see her a tiny bit lower, will really complete the look.

Also, the OEM aero kit would really compliment the aggressive wheels, and give you a little more to work with visually.

LOL. Caliper covers looked good from far away. They wouldn't be so bad if they didn't add the bolts stickers.

The +38 offset of the wheels looks perfect to me. I wouldn't mind seeing a set of polished wheels in that design, just curious i guess.

I like the caliper covers too.

so i got new wheels and tires - ace convex titanium 19" with michelin primacy mxm4 tires and Tein SS coilovers installed. I will post pictures this weekend.
As a result, I am selling my 20" wheels and tires for $1500 in this BM thread:

Are you able to notice any significant improvement in handling with the Wheels and Tires - By the way - I like the look..

ok, got my new canon t3i DSLR and took some pics. installed TEIN SS coilovers to lower it about .75" and now have ace convex titanium 19x8.5 et40 with michelin primacy mxm4 tires. i wanted to lower it to get rid of the wheel gap, but did not want it to look slammed. i was going for the look of wheel gaps on high performance lines of cars, such as AMG, M, or S. i had it lower, but raised it up as with the 40 offset, too low made the wheels look a little tucked in. i have the TEINs set to 5, and the ride is great. handles better than stock, but rides smoother. i do hear "rattles" when i go over bumps i never heard before though. they sound like they are coming from the suspension. id really like to figure out what it is and fix it. I also have the JnC headlights installed. and i painted my XLR8 drilled rotors completely black with caliper paint and machined them. they were warped and rusty as hell before doing this.
Also, i have my 20" ace convex's with Michelin supersport tires for sale in the black market.

thanks.
the primacys are a lot quieter and smoother. the supersports have unbelievable handling, but the ride is better with the 19" primacy.
