Supercharged pair
Acura of Lynnwood has built another monster. We took the car out for a shoot today. Weather was beautiful and the cars even better looking!

Give Rob Lacher (pronounced Lock-er) a call at Acura of Lynnwood, 888.231.5996. He has all the specs on the car about the kit. CT Engineering did the work. It's the second one I've seen as the dealerships GM had one previous to this.

dudes, thats the same supercharged TL that came out of comptech....
they are not releasing the S/C because of engine management.
the mp62 is pretty small for the 3.2, slap it on a 3.5 or 3.7 and its really underdriven.
Heat is the killer of all things, i hope they solved the part throttle problem.

As I mentioned before, I don't have any specs on the car regarding HP, acceleration #'s etc... I just got to drive it a bit and shoot the photos....
Give Rob a call at the dealership and he can get you the information you need if you are interested in the kit....

OK, who's ready for some rolling shots? I had a friend drive today so I could focus on shooting the TL. My wife drove while I shot. The weather here has been phenomenal lately. Enjoy!

This is pretty amazing that this thread has gone under the radar so much. Ever since the 4G introduction, all of us enthusiasts have been clamoring for Comptech to make a supercharger for this car. And now there is a supercharger on a 2012 model. And itrhybrid has said that all you have to do is contact this guy "Rob" at the dealership and he should be able to hook you up.
I would venture a guess that Acura of Lynnwood has such a great reputation on aftermarket support to their Acura's, that they got blessed with supplying it to customers who want it. I think it's a great marketing plan. You want a supercharger? Then this is where you get it for a set price and a set of skilled hands that know what they're doing, consistently (which is always lacking at all other tuner shops across the US).
This could turn out to be a great thing...

These are nice pic, car looks like a beast. However, this smells like a combination of self promotion and a Acura of Lynnwood spot.
Do you always roll on the street with a dealer license plates where your WA tag would be?

Regarding the dealer plate; we had to because the dealer still owns the car and it's required by law to have a plate on the car while it's out on the street.
Oh and I'm always happy to self promote. Hence my watermark.....
Any other questions???
Maybe you didn't read the first line of my OP. Yes I guess you could say I'm promoting Acura of Lynnwood; they do great work. They've built two SC'd TL's and worked with CT Engineering to develop the SC for my TSX. No I don't work for them, but my wife does, and Rob (the previous owner of my car also does.

We are still working on final numbers for the TL. (Which might take awhile). Right now we are only running 3lbs of boost which is around a 40HP increase. CT-E is making us a pulley for 5lbs which we will install in the next few weeks. We have a tuning company that we are working with that is taking care of all the electronics on the car. CT-E does not have a base map as of right now. This has been a on going project of ours and CT-E for the past few years. The electronics has been the major headache and aslo a major obstacle that we are still trying to over come. Right now this TL runs great and will continue to at this boost level. It is for sale at our dealership the way it sits. We will continue to try for more power as pulleys become available and tuning.

I bet you can't put the price on this thread, but I'm curious as to what the TL will cost from your dealership with the added supercharger (let's forget for a moment that you have aftermarket wheels on). I'm guessing it's going to add $6,000 to $8,000 more? It's also worth wondering with all the testing and seat time needed on this car to get the tuning just right how much wear and tear you've put on that might lower the price. But then again, the amount of labor on it will raise it all substantially. Hmm....
But this is cool that you guys are pioneering this kind of stuff with the TL, a neglected platform to put it lightly. If life throws me a bone with the ability to spend money on my cars again, and if I ever get stationed up at Fort Lewis, I'd love to swing by and see all of this stuff in person.
You guys ever thought of supercharging a Honda Odyssey?

If a dealer installed S/C would add about $6k to the price of a TL... and you could finance that into the purchase.. and it provided a substantial power gain.. and the dealer woudl support it... warranty it.. etc...
it would be a great deal. if you add $6k to the price of a loaded TL.. you still are nowhere near the price you'll pay for an M3 sedan or some other "uber sports sedan" and I suspect a s/c TL would be a pretty serious car..
id' like to see this S/C TL go up against an S4.... a 400+hp M3... not sure if this TL could run with it.... but bang for the buck, it might be a better buy...
