These are off a Ridgeline! haha 17" steelies. They weigh a LOT, but they're probably the strongest winter steelies i've come across LOL. Funny fact, the offset is actually more aggressive with these on the car! the tires are stepped down a size from 18 oem too! 225's on there.
Before i bought these, i tested out honda SUV rim fitment with 17" alloys off a pilot:
Just for kicks, my friend who let me test fit wanted to see how the TL AWDSH rims would look on his pilot:
It was STRICTLY a fitment only test to make sure the 17's cleared the callipers. as you can see, the tires are for the pilot lol.
After that fitment, I had a family emergency and was pressed for time, so i just settled with the ridgeline steelies. That and i didnt want to pay 2k for the stealership's 18" alloy/snow tire combo. so i just settled for these in 17". saved quite a bit, and was able to get the snows i wanted (Goodyear Nordics, only available in Canada @ CT)
If i could redo it, i think i would've gotten cheap alloys instead. Only issues are that not all 17's will clear the callpers, and 18" snows are pretty $$$. so make sure u do your homework. Tirerack has a great fitment guide, but i wasn't able to wait to order and ship from US (im in Canada) when i got these.

i'm sorry but that looks awful--if you took off your stockies to put these on for the winter, what is the point?
and if you bought a set of wheels and sold your stockies while living anywhere in the northeast or anywhere else where the weather doesnt cooperate like it does down south or out west--i also dont see the logic in that
i could be completely wrong and dont know why those wheels are on your car instead of stock wheelsduring the winter

I think a lot of people are scared by corrosion from salt in winter. I always keep th original rims for all year long even in snow and no problem. Plus my car looks nice all year long not just an half year.
You have also some nice potholes during the winter, and some people don't want to bend their rims.

what im trying to understand is, why would you take off stock wheels and replace them with steelies in the winter? why not just keep the stocks on? not trying to flame anyone here, but i dont see the reasoning of swapping a stock wheel with a steel wheel for the winter, millions of people drive with stock wheels in the winter.

2. Salt corrosion.
3. if u slide and hit something, these are MUCH cheaper to replace, and they're less likely to crack and leave u stranded
4. you step down a rim size to increase the sidewall for better snow/ice/slush traction
5. you step down a width size to increase the ability to cut thru thick heavy snow.
6. these are a MUCH cheaper option than buying another set of stock alloys, and mounting and remounting tires twice a year is NOT a good idea. If i was made of money, or if i had a money tree somewhere, i'd get some alloys. Feel free to lend me yours for winter. lol :p
Do you get much snow where u live? Doesn't sound like you do.
I dont know about you, but i'd rather drive ugly and have traction than to look nice and lose traction. After all, whether it's a $2k car, or a $50k car, it's still only 4 small patches of rubber that make contact with the ground. Not to mention, it's a $50k car, why would i risk damaging it just to look nice??? Safety > looks.
Btw, i didnt sell my stock rims... I have 2 sets, stocks for summer, and these for winter.

i live in the philadelphia area guy--well aware of what old man winter brings. i guess you might have a harder time than most while driving in the snow, and this is your "safe bet". if this plan of attack doesnt work, maybe next winter try some chains like my mail man
sorry for the confusion i may have started, regardless i think it looks really bad.

no worries, i just wanted to make sure you know why people use steelies. i have them for all 3 of my cars. it's mainly cause alloys are so expensive, and who knows what happens when the snow hits the ground, or worse freezing rain. on my civic, it's the reverse, my stocks are steel rims, and i have alloys for summer (aftermarket). so i actually revert to "stock" for winter.
another reason is my car is a lease, so if i damage the stock rims, even scratch them.. i have to get them repaired/replaced. much more likely when you make a turn and hit black ice.
btw, i agree. steelies ARE ugly. Just some are much uglier than others, and these prob look better than what most ppl are used to seeing when they think steelies. Not to mention, good luck finding 17" steelies!

I with I could have found stelies for my wife's car. I really don't care what the car looks like in the winter either. When ordering from Tirerack, I had to get alloys.
Reason I like steelies better is because I got steelies for my daughters 2003 Maxima in 03 when Tirerack offered that option and that think is a beast in the snow because the weight of the steelies plus the snow tires makes that car bullit proof!

Have these momo wheels for the winter. They come very close to the car colour grigio. The dealer included snows and these in the sale. First tried to give us the steelies. I will try and get a couple of pictures today but we have no snow right now.
