Pics of Radar Detectors
If anyone has hardwired a radar detector on their rearview mirror, I would love to see some pictures and maybe a DIY?
While I wait for my car, I just ordered a Passport Escort 9500ix and a blendmount hardwire kit so it looks clean installed.
I am a Valentine One guy but I thought that the red arrows and numbers might not be too stealthy plus the blue display on the 9500ix matches closer to the display on our TL's. LOL.

I saw a post in the main 4G Forum where someone mentioned in passing they had "hardwired" their radar detector to their rear view mirror ... much the same way we do with our vettes. Maybe pose your question as "Hardwiring Radar Dectors (with Pics)" in that section might get a better response. I'd be interested in the DIY instructions myself.

Mounting below the RVM or using the blendmount is stupid. Its visible to LEO's, thieves, and people who want to use you as a rabbit. If you're in a car mount as high as possible in the tint strip if it is non metallic tint. I don't believe any Acuras have metallic tints.
