Stinkysab is correct. I changed out the springs. TEIN makes shorter springs that allows for a lower drop. Check out post# 722 in this thread for the part #'s.

sup cass, congrats on the canibeat coverage.

Been working a lot ,haven't really had much time for the car.

I was afraid of ordering the lower teins for the front. Mechanic said i have to be careful to not damage the differential.

What you scared??? Go low or go home. LOL. There's lots of guys in NY with 4G that has made the switch to go lower.
Maybe air suspension will be ideal for you. Now you got me thinking

No rubbing or scraping issues. That's the great thing about coilovers you can easily make height adjustments to fix any ride height issues you encounter.

I am running 20x9.5 offset +19 in the front and 20x10.5 offset +19 in the rear.
Tires in the front is 235 35 20 and Tires in the rear 245 35 20.
My fenders have been rolled front and rear to clear everything and i have no rubbing issues.
You running +19 offset?seems a bit too extreme. Even with camber they stick out too far. Are u 100% on that?

The lip clears fine when driving around. Just have to be clear of the curbs when parking.

My offsets will be a bit extreme to you since your car is stock. Mines is not. its fully modded hence why i can run lower offsets. If you look on page 1 of this thread you will see how i started the build on this car with higher offsets and worked my way to lower offsets as i made changes in the build.
There's alot that goes into running low offsets and making it clear. (camber, lowered suspension, tire size, fender work and more).

So Gaza if you want to copy my offsets be prepare to do some work and mods to make it fit. if you don't want to do any mods then get the high offsets that out there for your car.

true that.. im running +12 on a 9.5 and i still have a lot of room to work with and this on all 4 wheels. running stock camber kit and alignment almost within factory specs. not enough to get camber.

rolled my fenders and shaved the front..

I am ready, and know that I will have to do a lot of mods to make it fit. Just don't want to custom order some wheels and they stick too far off. It just suck not having a competent rim shop close by where I live to mess with offsets

that is why you measure.. suspension + fender roll first.. then get rims with that will match your measurements.

ofcourse.. i did it the other way as i couldnt pass up on a $400 set of 3 piece semi-forged wheels.

Once fender work is done on the 4G theres lots of room for low offset wheels. Good on you for pushing the limits.

Nothing special on the plate it was just one of the choices available when i got custom plates. BTW i get ask that alot about the meaning.

Here's an example...if you get wheels and the rear rim is a quarter of an inch sticking out from the quarter panel/fender. That wheel sticking out stuff you are concerned with can easily be fixed by things such as negative camber, lowering the car some more or have someone experienced with fender work pulled the quarter panel that quarter inch then by doing that your rims will now sit flush with the fender and not be sticking out.

here's where the money adds up to make it work. Just a quick example...
For you to get the negative camber you"ll need a camber kit.
For you to lower the car to your liking and have control as to how low you want to go you'll need Coilovers or Air suspension.
For you to have fender work done you need an experienced fender work person.

There's other AZ members that has wheels with higher offsets that did not need all that stuff and any fender work and their cars looked great. Its all personal preference. If you want low offset wheels be prepare to do whatever work is needed to make them not stick out to much for your liking.

Hey Fyah/ or anyone. What you think about a cup kit for some Tein SS ? Allows you to adjust ride height with a small air setup. Ride height, static, or to clear speed bumps

do you mean UAS? cup kits are ok, but they are expensive as hell.. you might as well go with whole air suspension kit as your only a few hundred off from a full air ride..

only company i know that makes good Cup kits are Exotic Air, and i asked them already, their kits dont fit our TL.

they have a asking price of about 700 per bag, then you have to pay for compressor, lines, fittings, control unit. etc.

btw, this is FYAH thread. you can post your build on your own thread.

^ Tires play a big role in fitment...For example,

Your front tires are size 235 30 20 (overall height for that size tire is around 25.6 inches)

My front tire size is 245 35 20 (overall height for that size tire is around 26.8 inches)

Do the math...both cars maxed out on tein coils but the taller tires on my car will make wheels tuck more than yours.

I just read all 22 pages of WIN in this thread. Good God man, your car is gorgeous. This makes me SO glad I bought the CBP SH-AWD. I'm so amazed with your car I don't even know what mod I should do for mine first. You did an excellent job. Hats off to you, sir!

What's up, FYAH TL? First of all, I would like to say that your car is motivating and inspiring. I know you did the stock RL engine cover several months ago. I was wondering if it was a direct fit onto the TL or did it take a lil something extra to get it to fit properly?
