My Beak is gone!

I finally decided to do something with my beak. Looking forward to find out how it turns out.
[IMG][/IMG]

I should get it back in a day or two. So I will be driving my car without the nose/beak. Finally pulled the trigger on it. I did a lot of thinking how I want it painted. Hope it will turn out the way I want or at least pictured. New beak picture will be updated soon.

Thought of putting a little table fan and ziptie it. Thought about the fan mounting bracket all night. Will post a pic after mounting the fan

Thanks. Next to no orange peel, but all factory paint does. Oh well! Hopefully, it won't be a big deal. Acura/Honda barely put layers of paint on their vehicles. I really don't feel like coat it with couple of clear coats then wet sand the whole car. Paint correction?!?

Great! I appreciate the offer. But I like the subtle stock look. CF is nice but not what I am going for. Cheers!

yup yup... you'll be the only one here pretty soon though... with the new mods on the front end it isn't matching anymore... so we're gonna have to paint the center as well so it matches with the new look... I loved it with just the center silver till I put the 2012 headlights on and lost the silver in them... now with them blacked out the center looks out of place =-(...

I don't mind the clear lenses. To be honest, I like the way my beak looks now. No intention of putting 2012 headlights. I guess I will be the "only one" here, which makes me unique

So minty!!! Kudos for not being like everyone else and blacking out the entire front. I agree. It's a little much. Takes away from the luxuriousness. Just my opinion.

We need a full shot now!

This is exactly what I envisioned for my car as well, then researching tonight, I find this! haha. Looks great. Not sure if you painted it yourself. My biggest concern would be color match. Last time I had something painted, I had to leave the whole car with them to get the damn thing to match.

It was done by a bodyshop. I had to buy a pint of paint which came with the activator and the hardener. My new project for the beak will be done this Thursday. I will post pictures here on this thread for the final touch of the beak.

I'm assuming you got the paint from the dealership?

No from a paint place. Where bodyshops or the dealers get their paint. It cost me about $75 for the pint.

Cool. My biggest concern is paint match. Seems like there can be a few different shades of one paint code.

Its written on your driver side door panel plus after they mix the paint they should go to your car and match/look at it closely.
