I asked this on page 1. He paid $75 for the pint of paint and he had a body shop do the work. Not sure on cost of labor; however, I would be interested to know. I'll probably have my whole front grill painted soon.

much improved.. question to the OP or anybody with a 4g. I am considering a 4g as my next car, but I am thinking about a grille mod of my own. Painting it just like OP did, but with the top part of the piece that was left silver painted body color up to where the bend is as well, just leaving a smaller area of the grille silver.

It would give it more of that 4.5g grille look. Not sure if that would even look right, or if it's been done, just wanted to throw that one out there. Again, OP, very much improved over stock!

There are a few threads on here with completely painted grills. I'm pretty sure that will be my first mod. Going all black along with the headlights as well. And the rear trim black. Possibly the aero side skirts and that will be it.

I'd be interesting to glossy black vinyl the top part of your silver beak to the point where it sort of creases even with the top of the headlight. Make it look somewhat more like the nexson modded grill that karkraze has.... Its not a crisp crease though more rounded, but it would make it look more like a silver bar rather than a bucktooth...

As is it looks OK, a little awkward. i think the fully color matched is better.

Material cost me 75 and the labor was less than 100. Friend of mine owns the bodyshop. Aside from Xpel, the total was less than 200.

Thank you sir. I am not a fan of full color match beak. Maybe unless it was a black 4g TL

Be sure to put clear bra or Xpel so you won't get rock chips anymore. Xpel is the best product on the market.
