Well, I guess I better start a thread. I bought the car in the fall with about 41k on it and decided it would be best to wait until spring for the mods. Spring is close enough so parts are showing up.

The car came with black grill and rear bumper trim and was virtually mint. I wanted a AWD, but couldn't find one in this condition anywhere near me. So I picked it up.



Over the winter I found a set of coilovers and couldn't pass them up.



I pulled apart the headlights and had them painted.



The OE lip kit showed up a couple of days ago and if everything goes well it will be on the car this weekend.

I went with Rohana RC7 wheels. 20x10 +37. My favorite person (UPS guy) visited me today with them



Tomorrow I am having the tails tinted red. I still have to work out a rear camber kit and decide after fitting the wheels if I want to run a spacer and if so, how big.

I would have liked the lip on the rim not sticking out like that, but htat is just my personal preference.

Coming along nicely man! Those wheels are gonna look sick, and the 18's are the perfect winter setup. Some of my favorite OEM's!

Love the shot that shows the headlights...so clean! It's hard to photograph them because of the glare but that came out nice.

Got some bad news yesterday. After opening up the wheels I found that two are damaged. So, there will probably be some delay in getting those on the car...

Wheels were repaired today and look like new. Lip kit was installed. I am a pretty happy guy...

Clean and simple. You should really get the rear window spoiler. It's the finally piece to add to which compliments the aggressiveness of the lip kit.

I am planning on sticking with FWD bumper, but tinting the marker lights.

That will be coming in about a month. It is on my birthday list. Any recommendation of which eBay roof spoiler to get?

Looks great! Can you get a few more shots of fitment and how stretched the tires are? Im stuck between 245's and 255's on 10's and the Gmax's are what Im looking at getting.

A bit more suspension adjustment. I brought down the front end another 1/2". Getting close. Still need a rear camber kit and a measurement for a spacer in the rear.

Just a point of clarification - you bought new rims and tires, but had the two damaged rims fixed/repaired instead of replaced?

Yes. 2 of the Rohana wheels had chips in the lips. I had them repaired this weekend.

I understand you had them repaired, just surprised you didn't opt for replacement as these are brand new. Damaged in shipping?

Yes, or so they claim it was shipping and not mounting... Anyways I settled with them and had my body guy take care of them. They are like new. I couldn't find which part had been repaired and I know what I am looking for.

Sadly I think I am going to need to raise the car. I can't make it out of the drive without mangling the fenders or badly scraping the front lip.

Added a 8mm spacer in the rear and relocated the rear bumper tabs.

you know you cant just throw on a spacer like that.. anything above a 5mm with stock studs is considered dangerous..
so i would highly recommend you take those spacers off the rear..

Thanks for the advice. I plan to keep an eye on it. I know plenty of people that have run a 10mm spacer on M12 studs wihtout issue that get less turns on the lug than what I got. If need be I will pick up some extended studs, although I hear they are not as easy to come by in M14 1.5. I am also FWD so the rear studs will not be subjected to the torque of you AWD guys.

i dont think you grasp how dangerous it is.. its not just a "ill keey an eye on it" type of issue..

does not matter if its fwd or awd.. you take a turn too hard, one of your wheels will go rolling down the road while you end up next to a wall or a curb..

please for the safety of your passengers and to others on the road.. take those off.. it is not worth it.. i dont know how you come to the conclusion that running 8mm is safe.. when everyone, even guys that make these spacers say not to run anything past 5mm on stock studs.

oh and if you want extended studs.. i know where to get them.. only 1 guy has done it here, i would suggest for you to get extended studs.. they are however very pricy.. 250+ for 24 studs (4 extra just incase)

I should also mention that I marked a spline on a lug. With no spacer I get 10 full turns. With the spacer I get 7 full turns.
