I decided to pick up a mod that i had left off for some time,i purchased a door sill and used a Dremmel to cut out the ACURA logo, this is an unfinished product and i only did this to see how much work was involved and how it may potentially look.
I will now be working with something completely different as i am looking to fabricate my own and retrofit it to the original black housing.
Fingers crossed it should work well.

Thank you for the best wishes, I will need some luck since there isn't a lot of room to work with.
A little update on the project, using a software called Metacam I have drawn up the stainless steel trim to the exact specs of the original one, I will put my own custom cutouts on it since that program allows me to have infinite control over the design.
Next week I will Laser cut that piece and make an aluminum trough to act as a reflector and light retainer.

Metacam!! i haven't heard of that name in YEARS!! brings me back to my HS days working at a sheet metal fab shop! I never used Metacam, but i do remember running a Strippit cnc laser cutter. I'd love to see pics of the actual production of the part!
Just a thought, you could potentially laser out the reverse piece of the SS door sill in plexi glass, then fit led's along the side to illuminate. This would ensure that the sill piece would hold up if somebody stepped on it, and not dent in. You could also scratch up the surface of the plexiglass so that it stands out more when lit.

As promised here are a few photos of my illuminated doors sills,i did not get a chance to install but will do so over the weekend, i have only made the front right and left.I have the rears drawn up but will leave fabrication for later.
I will leave out the fabrication details but will say that it involved the use of specialized CNC machinery and that they are made from .250" stainless steel, the result is a precisely made part that replicates the factory piece but with my own personal touch, enough blabber from me

Appreciate the feed back,i will install them over the weekend since i need time to figure out the wiring and then post some pics of how they look on the car.
I did do a test fit and they basically just snap in place.I can easily restore them back to original by simply taking off the insert i made and replacing it with the factory trim.

I imagine you're gonna have a supply/demand problem

You have good taste as well, love your rims.
Supply is limited to one set, unless wifey gets a TL .Now that it has been done i am sure others will attempt, just a matter of time.
