jmanhas's 2010 WDP Acura TL SH-AWD Tech Package 6MT
Hey guys!
I just picked up a 2010 WDP Acura TL SH-AWD Tech Package 6MT last night, and i'm enjoying every moment in it. Its got all the bells and whistles that I've always wanted, and got it for a sweet price!
A little history about the cars i've been through!
First Car: 2008 Mazda 3 GT with Luxury Package (Automatic)
Sold the mazda 3, and ended up buying a 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 manual! This thing was a torque monster!! I definitely missed this car.
Then i jumped on the Euro Bandwagon..
and now finally..i wanted something more luxurious, comfy, awd, manual..all of the above!
I was orginally looking at a 2008 WDP Acura TL Type-S 6MT, but found this car for a really sweet deal! So i pulled the trigger..and here i am!
Now for the pics!

This TL was sitting on the dealer's lot for a few months already and maybe because of the demographic of that area, no one seemed to want to buy a manual TL.
With this in mind, i used it as a negotiation tactic and knocked them down on the price. They were asking $31,000 for it, and it only had 25k miles. I ended up getting the car for $27,100 before taxes, and before the Certified Pre-Owned Package.
I do have some plans for this car, but its going to be a slow progress for sure. As of now, I'd probably want to change the DRL bulb to yellow, and maybe plastidip the beak white to see if I like it.

Keep in mind that I'm in Canada, so pricing will be a little more expensive compared to cars down south. Most of the 2010 models with similar mileage are going for 34-37k at dealerships. I'm pretty happy with the price I paid

Im also planning to Plastidip my front beake/grill in White to see how i like it..if not, i will just peel it off and leave it silver. If i do like it, i may get it painted body colour in the future.
not sure which light you are referring to, but the car is 100% stock

Congrats! Nice cars you owned. That was one of the first mods I did was change the drl to jdm yellow. Different look for the 4g. I said the same thing when I got mine. It has everything I wanted! How do you like the driving experience compared to the others. Oh and welcome to the 6MT club!

Thanks! i will definitely be picking up some Yellow DRL's for this car very soon.
Incase you WDP guys are wondering how the rears look with white reflectors, i tried using white plastidip to see how it looked like.
Here are some pictures.
Overall, I didnt really like the look of it, it didn't seem flow very nicely. I ended up taking it off.

all you need to make a WDP 4G TL look bad-a$ is the following:
lower it - either springs or coilovers
tint
OEM body kit
spacers
done. you don't really need to mess with the tails/beak.. on the lighter car the grill looks fine...
how do you like the TL vs your E46 M3? I would htink the M3 was way way faster....

they're both fast cars, but a different type of fast.
With the M3, being it is RWD, it felt faster mainly due to having the car push me into my seat during hard acceleration. But with AWD, its almost as fast as the M3, but it feels like gliding type of fast. Overall, i do miss the m3, but it was a decision i had to make. The mileage on the m3 was climbing higher (152,000kms) and i had to sell it in order to make top dollar for it. Dropping the top is probably one of the most priceless feelings ever, especially during summer.

I noticed that you have black seats. Does that mean you have a black interior? Was that an option in Canada? My 2010 6MT (White) only had the option of the taupe interior. Regardless, I'd put the OEM body kit on it first, that totally transforms the look of the car for the better.

ya my car does have black interior. I think it is a canadian option and IMO it looks way better! (tan was never really my thing) Im definitely looking into an OEM kit in the future, probably from Curry Acura? I believe that is the cheapest option!

question.. did you film the fogs with the fogs mounted on the car or did you actually do it the correct way where you took it off and tinted it?
