Installed my LED's

I got my LED's in for my license plate lights. I am still waiting on the ones that I ordered on eBay for the doors, they are coming from Hong Kong. Here are some pics and I will add more when I get the doors done. The last pic is a comparo between the LED's and my wife's RX350 Lexus with the factory LED's. Looks pretty nice in my opinion.

The LED's I got were .99 on eBay with $4.99 shipping. Here is a link. The ones I got for the doors are flank LED's that will point down at the ground with the horizontal install. They are also 1 Watt LED's.....

The one thing I worry about with the courtesy LEDs is that due to polarity, you might have one or both lights facing the wrong direction(UP).

I thought about that... I will either have to reverse the harness installation spot or cut the harness off and crimp the wires back together in reverse.

I used the same license plate ones too, but haven't done the doors yet. Thanks for the link. Like you said, if the polarity is wrong, I will flip the wiring, because it won't matter if you have to put an incandescent bulb back in later.

I would recommend these lights to anyone. Others appear to have used them on here as well and all like them. I thikn they look better than the Lexus personally.

Very easy, the bracket that holds the lights to the bumper slides toward the front of the car and then you lower it and pry the clear shield off. Pull out the wedge bulb and install the LED. If it does not light, you have the polarity reversed, simply take the LED out and turn it around and put it back in the other direction.

Looks great - I love how the light is bright and shines on the road.

I have mine on my WDP - just didn't get time to install yet, hopefully will do so tonight.

Unfortunately, when I went back to look for a current auction the seller is no longer registered with eBay. I searched for Lexen LED and couldn't find anything either... I would just keep looking or check the web. My first pic shows what the package looks like. Hope that helps.

Guys, these are what I used in my TL as well as my new CX-9. They are extremely bright and look amazing. They have lights that shine down as well as all around. You can't go wrong with these. One pair is all you need. http://store.ijdmtoy.com/12-SMD-T10-...10_sku_c03.htm

Thanks to Takehold66 I have these bulbs ^^ as well. I can DEF. vouch for them. They produce a Really Bright White and glow up the ground as you drive. Even a Safety Improvement as when you are watching your reverse cam to back up you can see the ground behind you better. Such an easy Mod. Must have for 4G Owners

Very nice. I have done interior, license plate, doors for my MDX, However, I had to end up to put the original light back to license plate. It didn't last long. It last about 6 months.

I just found and bought these from ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...4816&viewitem=

Hopefully these will work and will last more than 6 months, but if not... hey it was only 5 bucks.

For some reason, I can not figure out how to edit my first post, or maybe I am not allowed to, but here are the pics of the under door lights and another shot of the license plate with plates instead of paper tags.

I did not have to change the wiring at all in the door fo the LED's they only have a 1 Watt LED on one side of the board and the polarity in my car was exactly how it needed to be. So total install time was less than 5 minutes.

Looks great, It amazes me why Acura didnt do this from the start. That and the omission of courtesy lights on the rear doors.

You should be able to partially disassemble the plug and move the wire without a cut and spice. I would avoid cutting any wires on your car as they are highly susceptible to corrosion.
