WOW! Beautiful! I think that Borealis Blue Pearl has now become one of my favorite colors for the 4G TL, along with Polished Metal and Grigio!
Would you mind taking a few more shots of the entire car from a distance please? I love the shot of the side profile, but I would love to have the quarter views from the front and back at a distance. Thanks!

grill will stay the same. after you have been around it for awhile it grows on you (at least for me - some body colors more so than others)

I see you have Nighthawk Black Pearl - my 3G had that - beautiful but lots of work. I felt I had to wash it 2xwk. Or just after the next trip to work the VERY next morning (city puts more water on the street than center median)
'quarter views from the front and back at a distance' - sorry too dark outside for now

Yeah I agree, the chrome grill and bumper doesn't really stand out in the Borealis Blue, it's actually complimentary and works for me. But on the Black Pearl it ruined the lines in my opinion, so it had to get done. I notice that your rear mud flaps stick out a little too on the top. When I installed mine I thought I messed it up or got a bad batch, but it's apparently intentional. I would of liked for them to taper in and blend with the car a little more.
What's Zaino by the way?

Zaino - (no assoc w/) just an easy to use wax - I learned about reading the wash/wax forum here at acurazine - did the clay bar 1st (can't beat for a smooth finish), and only 1 coat of the Zaino.
look at the link below for guys that go crazy and put 6 coats of the wax on - car turns into a mirror. I have done 2 coats on my NBP 3G b4 but not enough time for the 4G yesterday- plus w/ this color - looked fine w/ one coat

I can vouch for the Zaino. I've been using that stuff for the past 3 years. It's consistently rated as the best wax you can buy.....actually, it's not a wax but a synthetic polymer. Its reflectivity and durability is unmatched. It's really incredible on dark colors. It's a little expensive but worth every penny.

crxb, I saw the PM and Grigio at the dealership a while ago on the FWD 4G TL - they were beautiful! The only thing was that there were also lots of other cars in greys right now, so I appreciate that Borealis Blue will stand out more in the street.
Yes, I have a NBP - beautiful color but a pain in the behind to take care of! Especially living in Cleveland, the car looks dirty most of the time because of the weather... sigh...
Whenever you can get to the quarter views of your beautiful TL, that would be great! Thanks so much!

ok Ostrich 'quarter views' - added to to do list - maybe I'll try out my new cir polarizer filter. My NBP would start to show dust sitting in the garage 2 hrs after a wash. The Borealis Blue your right may stand out from the greys on the street

yep, looks good, but she is going to need a polish to correct out whatever the dealer did to it...if you dont have a udm/pc, let me know, i have two of them and we can hook your car up in no time...
clay also will marr the paint a bit as well...usually you clay a car right before you polish it out, so any marring you did with the clay bar would be corrected with the polishing....

The profile looks really good. The 4G profile looks much better than the 3G. The rump has grown on me. The color you have make the shield palatable. Congrats.

I checked with one of my clients who's a professional detailer, he hasn't used Zaino but hears good things about it. He's gonna give me a couple of coats of super expensive wax and a basic car care kit to help me out taking care of Black Pearl.

Thanks so much for the quarter views, crxb!!!
Now I am totally convinced that this is one of the very best colors for the 4G TL! It makes the car so very classy and elegant, and yet sporty enough. Yes, it does remind me of the BMW and Jaguar light blue, which I also love. If I am to get one today, this would be the color that I would pick out. Thanks again!

- the chrome shovel will help it stand out
thanks Ostrich - just hard to represent the color here on the web
today w/ the heavy overcast skies it hardly appeared to have any blue in it

Hey, crxb, do you have ebony or taupe interior?
Are you getting lots of admiring stares in the streets? I bet you are!

now some colors are better at hiding the minor swirling that happens from improper car washing and dirty shamois and towels and automatic carwashes....
todays modern clear coats are not fixable by hand polishing, and zaino and waxes are for protection only, they do nothing to fix the swirls...a machine is needed to correct the swirling and scratching....
plus once you get one of these machines its soo easy to hit your car with a coat of sealant or wax, i can knock out my car in like 20 minutes!!
start venturing over to the wash and wax section where there are alot of expert detailers and lots of great information on how to take care of your new sweet rides to correct way....

I can appreciate what it must look like in full res only because I use Zaino on my WDP. It really is some pretty amazing stuff. Wait til you get multiple coats of it on.
