Black out window trims and Roof line trims
Since I can't edit my old post, I am going to just start a new one. I finished both my roof trim and door trims this morning. Tell me what you think!

omg justnspace i was thinking about the samething this afternoon. I just made an appointment to tint my windows and the beak I am going to get the RJ grill.
Accessphoto: Thank you for your reply but i personally want my car to look more sporty other than luxury and I never really like chrome. So far I love the new change but maybe later on I might change my mind and switch it back to chrome.

I personally love all RJ products both wheels and their grills!!
I really want to see this black window trims on a black TL I think it will look 10 times better than WDP.

No it will be a lot hard to remove the trims. What I did was cover the trim with the vinyl and use cutter to cut out the extra. It is very easy to do. I used about 2-3 hours for the complete project.

Paint would be nice too. But the first thing comes in to my mind was what if I dun like it. You can't remove the paint, plus I havn't seen anyone did it before. So vinyl was a better option. I got a lot of vinyl sitting at my home because I was doing black out roof for couple of friends. So it was cheaper and easier for me to do vinyl.

I know i am super late on this thread but i think it looks good. I am in the contimplation mode to do the same to mine since i have the black wheels. I want to go for a very sporty stealthy grim look. If you still have this TL some updated pics would be nice to see what else has been done.

looking at it it reminds me of the 3G TL. Then again if you look at most sport cars there is very little if any chrome. So i guess depending on the direction you are trying to go with the car depends on if you will like it or not.
I agree looking at the chrome trim then looking at it blacked, it can give off an image of looking cheaper. But on the other hand if he was going in the direction of blacking out the car other than the white which includes lighting/wheels/trim/rear trim/badges/grille(not the factory grille but you get the point) then the car wouldn't look cheap it would look customized/sporty.
My only gripe with the blacking out the trim is if you get it painted it will cost alot as opposed to using film. But filming it can lead to peeling down the line and i hate![Cuss](https://acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/cuss.gif)

having to bring my car back & forth to a shop to get something fixed when i could be getting something new done to it. But i know that is the compromise you have to deal with when customizing.

Actually I had my black trim on my 4G almost 4 months now so far it is holding up pretty good. It's good if the vinyl you purchase is branded like Hexis or Oracal. I pretty much black out most of the trims. I also did the roof and carbon fiber the rear spoiler. Since my 4G is WDP, kind of stands out and bring up the contrast. So it's pretty much personal preferences. I've just finished black out the front grille trim and the rear bumper trim but yet to take any photos.

Def can't wait to see the finished product. I was thinking about blacking out my roof also but def not doing it anytime soon. The black on the spoiler i wouldn't do but doesn't look that bad with your combo. Wheels look good. Some might beg to differ but as another member said in another thread it's not like they are driving it.
But most people went for the 2012 to tone down the sporty aggressive edge of the TL from 09-11 but you my friend got the less sporty less aggressive TL and still sporting it out . Now that's interesting.
But you know what really grinds my gears? The fact the 09-11 TL was supposed to be the sporty aggressive TL yet they throw those bright ass silver lining lights in there and the toned down 12 model got blacked out light . Like really. What the hell are they doing.
