So, in case nobody noticed (or even cares)... i traded in my 09 TL SH-AWD.... and got a 2010 TL SH-AWD.. picked it up last week, but havent had time to take pics yet.

Nothing wrong with the old one... I had 29k miles on it, dealer gave me 28k on the trade...

i got a deal i couldnt resist, plus my interest rate went from 2.9% to 0.9% for 60 months... payments were actually going to be LESS on the 2010, but then i had the dealership add the sport grille, trim, body kit and tints.

Its a 2010 TL SH-AWD Tech... Palladium Metallic / Ebony. Gun Metal Wheels, Underbody spoiler, 20% tint and Sports Grille & Trim pieces....

I was going to get the HPTs, but since its winter now, i didnt want to bother. I will probably do a few mods to this one, but nothing crazy like my UA6 or UA7

 

Lol I was just searching for this thread.. You might hold the world record for most TL's ever owned by one person. What mods do you have planned this time around?

Suprised you went with the bling. How are you liking the sports trim?

 

honestly... the "bling" looks really, really good (compared to the "dull")

of all the colors, i think it looked BEST on CBP and RBP.... i was VERY VERY close to pulling the trigger on a RBP/Ebony with all the same trim

It looked so damn good on the showroom floor.. so over the next few days well i made my decision, i saw 2 RBP's, and they were being driven by 70 year old women.... hence the term "old lady red"... plus, every car looks better in the showroom

of all the TL's i've bought... this is my FAVORITE one, when it is still in "stock" form


i even parked my stock WDP next my new PM, and the PM looked so much better. especially with the gunmetal wheels.

^ actually, it might be a while... winters coming, and im real busy these days... i'll probably get to it in like march or april.. i think im going to go with the usual blacking, but leave my amber diffuser in... maybe even lightly smoke the diffuser

i can black out Acura headlights in my sleep

Seen some of the 3G TL with those lightly smoke diffusers that look good on light colored TL like PMM and WDP. So am sure it'll look good on yours...i did read an old post with you giving advice on how to black out headlights. i was going to try it but after i heard of the baking in the oven process i just paid JnC to do mines.
Your ride is looking good in stock form i'll be checking back to see the mods you do.

 

^ JnC is a headlight god.... before he became a vendor, i contemplated doing it at as well, but fees were high, and my time is kind of limited... plus my oven isnt big enough! i always had to do it at the wifey mothers house.... i've done about 30 sets or so in my days. definitely a long, detailed process... but not too difficult... the more you do it, the easier it gets

Honestly, i checked out the 2010 RL, and the technology/navi was SSSOOOOO outdated (same equipment as the 2005 RL with an updated Navi DVD)


I looked at ZDX - not worth the $$ to me... and quite frankly, its a little slow and hard to see out the rear window

I looked at MDZ - Acura doesnt give as good of a deal on these cars, and you couldnt get the promo 0.9% /60mos finance rate

RDX - nice, but a tad feminine... and I'm a tall guy too. Navi/Tech is also a little bland

No TSX, i need AWD

Nice! I've been wondering on the sports grill as well. I've been debating on whether to get the sports grill, leave it as is, or perhaps the RonJon.

I also wonder with the supposed refreshed Acura grill on the 2012 TLs, will Acura make a "2012 grill" for all 4G TLs?

^ god i wish.... no, couldnt do it. driving 35-40k a year through LI,NYC & NJ... just wasnt worth the hassle.... plus the wifey has to drive it sometimes, god knows what she would do to my clutch

hopefully is 2011 is a good year for me, i might consider getting a weekend warrior. some kind of project car, like an SC300 or 80's F/G body car...

^with the hole at the rear of the kit. you shoulda covered it with an LED light...that would have been OG! HA!

 

lol. everybody always commented on the hole. made me look like an ass....

i tried explaining that i was down 6 heinekens, it was about 105 degrees at 3AM, and the inner markings on where to drill, where missing.... shit happens!
