2010 TL SH-AWD Tech 6MT Pics

Stuart, JM,
Thanks for your comments and sharing that video! I had seen a shortened version of it, but it is exactly as you say... the more I drive it, the more I want to drive it! Today as I drove it around CT, can't tell you how many neighbors (and even two police officers in two separate cruisers) gave me a smile or a thumbs up as I drove by. The CBP SH-AWD, w/ 6-spd MT is THE BEST! I took some photos of mine w/ the Sport Pkg A and the Midnight Chrome Grille front/rear trim, for your viewing pleasure, but still need to wait another 10 days to post. And you are right, Dario did call it "Darth Vader's vehicle"... Car and Driver called the TL SH-AWD "the car that Bruce Wayne would drive" initially... before the 3rd Gen'rs started the front grille controversy. People have to remember that sales went down on the TL as a result of increased price/content during a severe economic downturn. Look at Acura sales now, rebounding... including the TL!

Stuart's Flikr Page featuring 2010 CBP TL SH-AWD is awesome!
Stuart - just took a lokk at your Flikr page... AWESOME! You have a real talent at car photography. I also like your progression as you added the options. Our cars are nearly identical, except that I kept the 18" rims on my 2011 with the Michelin A/S... wanted them for the tough New England winters. I think the fully body kit, midnight chrome grill & trim really make the CBP stand out. I am also in love with the 6 spd MT, and the revised handling of the car vs. the 5 spd AT version. 3rd Gen'rs "holding out" have no idea what they are missing... there is NO comparison between the cars... which includes the old 3rd Gen Type S w/ 6 spd MT. My understanding is that there are not too many 4th Gen TL SH-AWD MTs currently on the road: 5% of overall production over the past year, leaves it somewhere in the 2000 - 3000 range in existence. Wonder how Honda justified the business case? Doesn't matter... nice to have the fastest production V-6 ever produced by Honda or Acura (including the NSX) in our cars!

Solomon, Thanks for the compliment. I couldn't agree more about the 4th gen 6MT. I love the 6MT and coupled with SH-AWD, I find it blast to drive in both the summer and winter. Mine came with the 19" wheels & HPT, and I bought the 18" wheels to mount dedicated winter tires, so I guess I get the best of both worlds.
I had a 3rd gen TL that was 6MT as well and I really enjoyed it, but wished it was either RWD or AWD. I was slightly disappointed when the 4th gen came out and no 6MT was offered. I was looking at a 2009 while in for service and the salesman who sold me the 2006 asked me if I was interested in taking it out. When I found out it wasn't available in 6MT, I told him I'd pass until Acura changes their mind. (Which they did about a year later.) I actually like the fact the 6MT is a fairly rare combo, nice having something unique on the road. I've only come across a few 4th gen TLs in my neighborhood, none 6MT though.
