'12 SH-AWD Graphite Luster - High Gloss Shots

I just picked up my 2012 SH-AWD / Advanced in Graphite Luster Metallic last week, and had a chance to give it a proper detail today...so I wanted to post up some high gloss photos for everybody. The Ferrari 458 Italia lurking in the background makes good company for my TL.

It's amazing what the right combination of machines, polishes, and waxes and techniques will do for the finish...

The brand new 458 Italia beside it received the same new car enhancement detail...

I also installed the OEM splash guards today...

Can you share a little about which products you use in your detailing? Which you would recommend?

Thanks everybody! My product choices vary quite a bit depending on the type of paint, and the amount of correction or refinement I'm going for. For this one however, it was a quick polish using Sonax Perfect Finish, followed by a machine application of Chemical Guys EZ Creme Glaze, then topped with Swissvax Crystal Rock wax.

Wow - at first I saw the Esoteric auto detail signs and though - "Oh cool - those guys do awesome work" Then I saw your sig and that it was YOUR work.

Nice stuff - I've seen your details (before/afters) on the net - and they are always stunning.

And Swissvax

Edit: Oh and to anyone else - check out the wash/wax forum for info all about detailing.

if you don't mind me asking, how does the inside look? I know it's a new car and all but did you also perform some fine detailing in there?

envious of the car btw. beautiful color, beautiful detailing. per jiggaman....i do feel cleaner looking at the pic. haha!!!

Thanks Pete, and yes...I am Esoteric! Being able to top my own car with a $1,500/jar wax that's normally reserved for exotics is definitely a benefit of owning a highline detailing company.

Thanks! I didn't take any inside pics, but I will when I do my new car prep article as I'll show what areas to treat with which products.

That took the better part of a day. But when I go full-out on it for my article, I'll probably take 2 days or so.

Your work is absolutely stunning!

For us mere mortals, not to get into product endorsements, but if I were to want to do my own work on this car, if I were choosing between Meguiar's and Mothers product lines, which would be better, and why?

PM me if you're not comfortable responding to that question publicly.

Thank you. Well it depends on what you're trying to accomplish...are you going for paint correction / swirl removal, or just good overall detailing products for cleaning, waxing, sealing, etc? With more info, I can give you a better recommendation.

Hi OP, I've a question for you. I've a CBP and planning to detail my exterior sometime next week, what do recommend to use to wash the exterior, don't want to scratch it or swirls. Any tips will be appreciated.

You want to be very careful with that paint as it's very soft, and scratches / mars quite easily. Look up my article on proper washing and drying procedures on Detailed Image as that will be a big help. It will walk you through the techniques and processes as well as provide product recommendations.

Hi Todd, the swissvax wax that you used is out my element, I've a black and a white vehicle, what type of wax do you recommend either same name brand but less pricey or other type.

Your car looks like a million bucks. So shiny!

How do you get rid of water spots? I've used clay bars and can't get them all out.

Thanks.

Oh hey its Todd! I referenced your guides a ton of times as I started to learn about detailing. Especially the black 3g tl one. Just wanted to say thank you for those and the 4g looks amazing.
