Will there be enough backpressure if...
If removed my second resonator? I already have magnaflow mufflers and one of the resonators deleted. I also have the XLR8 jpipe that deletes the third cat. So if I replaced the other resonator with a straight pipe will there be enough backpressure? Will I lose any power or torque? Thanks guys, want to get this done today!

back pressure is something you wont ever have to worry about.
Accord guys and 3G TL guise have been using 3 inch diameter pipes all the way from the heads and back.
what does this mean?
this means; your proposed set up will not hurt ANYTHING, because 1) your pipes are still the stock 2.25 and adding a resonator or straight pipe will still be the stock 2.25 inches
I gained a healthy amount of torque with just Pre-cat deletes and Jpipe alone.

The J-series engine Loves to breathe.
open her up on the exhaust side, then do the intake side.
gains!!!!
my mods are as follows: Bored throttle body, ported and polished intake manifold and runners, PCD's, Jpipe, full exhaust.
I have yet to dyno this set up, but I dont expect a lot of gains from these mods.
it probably moved me closer to 250-255 wheel hp.
I am in the process of installing the J37 heads from the 07-09 MDX with 07-08 TL-S cams.
I will dyno after I put the heads on.
here's to 300 at the wheels!

Thanks for the great response!! I wasn't too sure because I read all these different kinds of answers online and I want to make sure I was going to lose any power. I just had it done and it sounds great! A little bit louder than before but to much louder. I am hearing a weird "sparking" noise when ever accelerate pretty quickly. Any clue what that could be? Also my engine smells a bit weird??? I have no clue what this could be because I called the exhaust shop and they said they checked for exhaust leaks and said it was all okay.

right, all you did was replace a straight through resonator with a straight pipe.
a resonator is meant to quell exhaust noise.
so, by doing this, you've made your car louder! in a good way.
the "sparking" noises could be backfire, as im not to sure what "sparking" noises really mean.
but if it is back fire, it's nothing negative. car might be running a little rich. and unfortunately, there isnt a tune available to correct the Air/fuel ratios.
Enjoy the cool "backfire" noises!!
about the smell, the exhaust shop personnel put their greasy grimey hands all over the exhaust! the heat is burning off the oil and SHOULD dissipate soon

Your the man!! Haha thank you very much. I knew there were no exhaust leakes because I checked the whole exhaust. The backfire makes sense because it is really only when the car gets to very high RPMs, it does sound pretty cool actually, I just wanted to make sure it wasn't causing any harm. Also, now that I think about the smell did smell like something was being burned off.

on a hard high RPM run, there is left over gas and a mini explosion happens outside of the combustion chamber usually in the exhaust tract.
the un-burnt gas travels through the exhaust and the hot metal ignites it, causing a back fire.
it sounds cool!
I used to get it all the time with just pcd+jpipe.
but now that I have a full exhaust I dont hear them any more.

It does sound very cool! So if I rev it while parked will sparks come out? Because I know backfire on some other cars will result in some pretty big sparks. Just wanted to make sure that it wouldn't harm my engine or anything else. I know there is also backfire that can take place in your intake as well. Also, you said it's running rich so does that mean I will be using more gas resulting in worse gas mileage?

Damn!! Is that your car?! That's awesome, it looks so sick. You must be running real rich to get that amount of backfire. Some really good videos though. As for the intake backfire, that's pretty damn cool too! It looks like a bunch of stoves going on and off haha. Do you think my car will be producing any sparks?(obviously not like yours but anything at all)

I know it's a lot easier on smaller 4 cylinder engines to be able to shoot flames out. It's a lot harder on 6 cylinders I believe. Will backfire cause wear on the exhaust pipes over time? Will anything else be affected due to my car backfiring? Thanks!
