Need to know about the famous backpressure. I have recently gutted my cat and notice a gain there and i am now going to do my exhaust. I was goin to head to a shop in queens n get custom 2.5 inch piping remove the 3rd muffler n resonator and probaly get a set of either magnoflow muffers or HKS not to sure. However i am afraid with that im not goin to have any backpressure but i am not sure if it matter that much or does it??? Any suggestions thanks

 

Ha, finally someone agrees with me that gutting out your cat does make a noticable difference. Listen man I have my cat gutted, my resonator and pre-muffler taken off and in place a straight pipe. But, I did keep my stock mufflers on. I would keep your stock mufflers on and hear it first, its not loud at all, but if you take both mufflers off it sounds like crap. So I am afraid to put high flow mufflers on because I dont know if they will sound good. But I have I/H/and basically full exhaust otherwise to my stock mufflers and it sounds great, but the intake is louder than my exhaust.

 

defantily the gutted cat made a difference with everything you did u gain more in low end or high end

 

Both, because i can roast my tires from a dead stop, and racing my friends car from a 2nd gear drop I gained more on him rather than before.
