Smile Where are the mods?

I'm just wondering why the aftermarket companies haven't come out with sick mods yet?

Shitty economy and a car that really has sold that much in the past few years. But as the economy turns you'll see more and more new mods coming out.

Which type of car do you think you bought? This is an important question...

Is the TL SH-AWD a...
  • Over-grown Super-Riced Honda just waiting to be pimped?
  • A luxury sports-sedan, with design and performance elements integrated into one Audi/BMW-like holistic master plan?
You really can't have both, and most people won't pay $40K just to put neon tube accents and oversized muffler-reverberators on it.

(I will grant you, though some here disagree, that Acura failed at the integrated holistic Audi/BMW bit, but I think it's closer to that than to being a Civic waiting for 95-octane SuperSake.)

it's going to take a bit of time with the TL. The 3G TL had aftermarket parts come out for it nearly 2 years after it's creation and it was comptech with the RSB! Slowly more and more parts have trickled in. Give it time and some more mods should come out soon.

As much as i want more part's to come out, i don't believe many more will. Not as much as the 3G at least. I believe in the whole economy aspect but also the TL hasn't sold as much as the 3G did.

Not turning this into a whole beak thing because that's what every thread about the 4G end's up being about but i don't expect many part's for this car.

I of course can be wrong.

I disagree with all of you except CSmeanCE. I bought my TL new at the age of 19 and there was only comp-tech parts available. The new TL is more luxury and not as sporty as the 3G.

Getting back to my point, it will take time just like the 3G TL. It was a 35-40k car depending upon options and not many young adults owned a 35-40k car looking to throw an exhaust, intake or anything of that sort onto there car. Wait a few years like we did and there will be parts slowly making its way into the market because I have yet to see one young adult in my area drive one or feel as if there is a market for this car yet. Now that the 3G TL can be had for little as 10k, people are less reluctant to throw performance mods onto the car, paint the front grill and remove parts and so on.

Not many 19 year olds can drop $44K on a new car, and those that can tend towards more flamboyant brands. You're not quite the target audience.

How about some bigger brakes that don't fade after three hard stomps?
