For those of us with Takeda Intakes, what are the replacement parts we need?

I installed my Takeda Intake in the summer of 2010, but now 5 years later, my filter has a small hole from rubbing and both of the rubber couplers that came with the kit are beginning to dry out and crack. I'm worried that I have about 6-9 months left before one cracks through and I develop some unwanted holes in my airflow.

What does anybody know about which replacement parts from aFe we need to purchase to get a new filter? And how about the rubber couplers? I'm imagining the one connecting the pipe to the throttle body could be purchased for relatively cheap if we didn't use a Takeda-specific part, but it appears that the couplers might not be more than $7-10 a piece. The filter, on the other hand, looks like it's going to run upwards of $70 if it's the one I'm thinking it is.

Anybody else have these problems developing?

you can use any sort of coupler and filter that you want. Measure the diameter of the piping and see how much clearance you have. Get a filter that attaches to a coupler that matches the diameter of your piping.

Those silver bands are tension rings. You turn the screw to release/gain tension on the whole silver band. Undo the tension and the parts should easily come apart.

AEM filter might work with the right size coupler. Are the filters cleanable?

We offer a replacement filter separately that you can order right off our website! We have it available for $66.95.

In terms of the rubber coupler, you might be able to call them for a new one.

I'm having the same problem. Were you able to find the couplers anywhere? Appreciate any help you can provide. Thanks.

You can call AFE who owns the Takeda brand. 888-901-7693

If you measure the ID on each side, you could probably find a Vibrant universal reducer that would work.
