It ran good just not at it's full potential. I've seen/heard it in action.

Yeah ! from video on Youtube :
Someone posted info on DYNO ,Its putting down 329whp and it costs 5-7k.
Very expensive modification, paying 5K just for 60 WHP.

Im thinking about ProCharger F-Series Superchargers

Sounds reasonable to me compared to stepping up from a Turbo to a Turbo S.

Still nothing for the 4G.. How disappointing! I've been waiting for 3+ years for this thing to make it t market.. Don't they even update on it's progress?? Good thing the warranty will likely expire before they release this, if they ever release it...

They won't.

The 4G TL is such a low volume (in comparison to other Honda's) vehicle that it is deemed not financially profitable to release any aftermarket kit that will cost $3-5K plus additional dyno tuning charges.

I spoke to them a few weeks ago and they said they're just waiting on Hondata to release a tuning solution.

If they do come out with this kit, I'll take one.

What's funny is 90% of the members on here bitch about not having the kit ready, and when CT asks for deposits....the same fuckers will make excuses not to buy it.

"I'm not paying 4k for 60 hp"

"I'll wait til they do more research then buy one"

Same exact shit happen when XLR8 announced the BBK.

If you can't afford it, just say so. Shit.

Maybe they should pressure Hondata and work with them to get it released.

Exactly, there are so many more 4G TL owners, who are

(1) not willing to pay 4K for 60hp, and/or
(2) not able to afford the kit,

than actual owners who really want to buy the 4K kit; and this makes aftermarket companies to consider that releasing a 4K supercharger kit for the low selling volume 4G TL to be a money losing project.

I think it comes down to

1 making sure it's reliable and the longevity of the car will be there
2 the ease of installation and service support
3 maintenance issues that may come with the installation

Sure price is one, but do you really expect someone to give up 4K and possibly have issues with the car that dealers won't even look into. Noone wants a 30+ K car sitting in the driveway broke down. How is the cars drive train going to hold up. It's more than just a money factor. There are a lot of issues that have to be addressed. Sure the idea of a supercharged TL is awesome until something goes wrong and you can't get it fixed

I agree, but CT is a reliable company that will ensure all possible defects are addressed before a kit is mass produced.

I trust them and would love to own a supercharged TL. I don't think 4-5K is a lot when it's a quality product that will allow folks to own something unique.

I understand your point. If money is no object and you want to be unique, build your own. You can do a rear mount turbo (twin at that), supercharged, and the possibility is their for a centrifugal blower.

Just create a stand alone tuning solution for the car and give up all the amenities. Big Stuff 3 comes to mind but there are tons of aftermarket ecus that can operate the ignition and fuel system while controlling the transmission. That's to easy. Question is how bad do you want it

Even with 65 names already signed up to buy the Hondata box, but still not much action from the Hondata side.

This shows how much enthusiasm aftermarket companies have in terms of aftermarket performance products for the 4G TL.

I got this car for the amenities and performance. If you want me to spend $5-6k on a SC system all of the creature comforts better work well.

It can be done, however there is no market for it. A lot of people bought the 4G with no crazy performance mods in mind, maybe for looks. Once this platform ages and becomes cheaper to buy on the used market then you'll start seeing more variety of aftermarket performance parts.

Heck the the Hondata flash for last set of 3G's was released less than a year ago. More 3G's on the road, more younger owners buying used, and more willing to modify.

I'm sure Hondata is more excited about the new Turbo Engines honda is releasing in the civics...
