I have a 2012 TL SHAWD Really love the car

I recently rented a Mustang that had a 300HP 6 cyl that was a ton of fun to drive. As fast as the TL, but with that cool feel of a rear wheel drive ride.

What I really liked about it was is when in sport transmission mode it had a very aggressive shift point settings (second gear really wound up to hi revs with a great sound) and when slowing down to corner, it would automatically downshift at just the right point.

I was wondering if there was a mod or program for the TL that made it more aggressive in shift points and downshifts?

Its kind of what I guessed...

I liked the Mustang experience, but it was really noisy, and could not transport more than two humans, unlike the TL.....

I guess I'll use my paddle shifters more

The TL transmission is adaptive. If you put it in S mode and drive angry it will pick more aggressive shift points. If you're cruising the car just smooths everything out.

I got it to hold 5000 rpm through a turn once in non-manual S mode.

Yes, the 2012 TL has a sport shift mode that elevates the shift points. It also allows you to use the shift paddles continuously.

Sports mode doesn't go past 5th gear.

that's weird. When I am messing around in sport mode on the highway it will shift into 6th gear.

Same if I am on the road as well, if i am driving hard or just messing around on the quiet back roads

Huh? Am I missing something? My '13 SHAWD doesn't shift past 3rd gear on S mode... A few months after I purchased my car, I gunned it on S mode and after the 3rd shift it reached redline and blipped.. thought I was going to burn my engine.

In S mode, it will shift automatically, though with different shift points, but only up to 3rd. You need to use the paddles after 3rd, but once you use the paddles (in S-mode), it will not shift automatically until you pop it back to Drive.
