Short throw shifter

Is there any shifter kits out there ? Didn't find anything, just figured the throws could be a little less

None that I am aware of, and as far as throws go, its comparable to the S2K

I own a 2012 TL 6 speed manual and the shifter is a short throw as it is.

I wouldn't recommend a short shifter. The stock shift system is smooth as butter. Adding a short throw would make it hard to shift. :|

Is it smooth? Mine is a lil rough. I feel some resistance going into 1 and 2 gears.

I could just be making this up, but the shifts feel much smoother when they are a hair slower. In other words, ripping it gear to gear to get a quick change seems to really junk up the smoothness of the shift. Again it could just be in my head though...

If you're feeling roughness in the 1st and 2nd gears, an easier solution would be to try and change out the transmission fluid with something like a GM Synchromesh or something similar. That has helped many-a manual transmission problems.

Depending on how cold it gets where you live, syncromesh gets really thick when cold. I had a cavalier back in the day with a 5 speed, and it was rough in the cold. I ended up using a Trick shift synthetic

I would be happy with some aluminum base bushings or even Delrin shifter bushings for under the hood. I had this combo (along with a STS) in my previous car and it made for some very firm shifts...I loved it!
