Performance upgrade.
Just got the 2010 Tl manual 3.7 sh-awd. I put a after market muffler in there with res deletes. Car sounds great but now i also like to get a lil more on the torque/HP side. Has anyone try one of those computer override chips or turbo for this car? If available. Dont get me wrong this car is already fun as is. If you've done any upgrades, what results have you gotten.

The Original Shawdy
Nice purchase. Definitely a fun car. If you're looking for additional power the best mods are Pre Cat Deletes / High Flow Cats and CT icebox if it comes back into production. Paired together with Ktuner and custom tune. I also have an aftermarket Jpipe with 3rd cat delete. Car revs up quick.
I ran my buddy's 2010 manual shawdy and pull hard every run. He's currently stock and I'm a auto 6 but with the same mods, it'll be quicker.
As for turbo, it hasn't been been done since there isn't a way to tune the turbo. With the right budget, anything is possible though.
Good luck with your build and welcome to the site. Endless amounts of information on here.

Hey,
Glad to hear you're enjoying your car! The best bang for your buck as far as i see it would be a Jpipe and Ktuner.
Our XLR8 Jpipes are made from T304 stainless and work to remove a very restrictive kink in the OEM piping along with a unmonitored cat. These typically add around 20-25hp / 25-29tq and can be found here: JPIPE-V2-UA8AWD - XLR8 J-Pipe - Excelerate's Honda & Acura Store - Japanese Performance Specialist
Software is another great way to get the most out of what you currently have. Ktuner offers software for your platform. You can have a local shop tune the car for you, or you can purchase the kit which allows you to license your ECU and offers direct tuning through the OBD2 port. If you were interested, you can take a look at the kit here: KTunerFLEU - Flash Based Hardware - Excelerate's Honda & Acura Store - Japanese Performance Specialist

if so, you could def. tune a turbo with that!
except, you might want to have deep pockets...as we're spending anywhere from 10k-20k over on the 3G side to turbo

yes it is available. I used it to tune my 4G but I don't think you can use it for turbo yet unless Ktuner updated the capabilities. Correct me if I'm wrong.
