first of all.. judging from what you stated.. you seem to know nothing about cars.. so id forget about installing anything yourself..

secondly.. yes you can get oem mufflers from acura.. just contact rob at acura of lynnwood.

now unless you are trying to say you want some better sounding mufflers.. then that is a different story.. search in the performance thread.. keyword is magnaflow.. use the search function.

I actually know a lot about cars and have installed plenty of performance parts and I'm only 17 so everytime I do something I learn so don't have to be douche bag. Secondly I never messed with mufflers so I was wondering about install and third of course I know about magnaflow but those are universal I was looking for something made specially for the TL. And yes I want louder mufflers****

then you should have specified that you wanted "AFTERMARKET" exhaust..

just saying plainly i want some new mufflers dont seem to add much on what your trying to accomplish.

ATLP or XLR8 exhaust.. look those up..

if you new alot about cars... simply you can find these on this forum.. its pretty much talked about on every section on the 4g side.. you just gotta look

Search, there are a ton of posts already on this subject.

Hint: Don't use the big search box in the middle of the screen. Find the section you want, such as: Performance Parts & Modifications in the 4G TL section (if you own a 4G), then use the small drop-down menu on the right that says "Search this Forum."

Look, we were all 17 once.
Potsmilk is only trying to help you accomplish what you want.
BUTT, we have no clue what you want!!!

you're all over the boards asking simple questions, while we are here to help, it gets tiring answering the same thing over and over.

How about this.
Lets brain storm on ideas on what you want your car to look like, sound like, and perform like.

When you have and end goal on what you want your car to be, it will be easier to mod.

Take a few minutes to browse acurazine's 4th gen section.
I bet you can grab lots of ideas from just simply browsing.

If you're looking for new mufflers you really will need to invest in a full catback exhaust like our XLR8 exhaust.

Guys.....WTF?

Here is a new member who asked a simple question. There is absolutely NO NEED to rake him over the coals.....NONE.

It's very simple to ask a new member more of what he wants and then suggest places for him to look in order to find his answer.

I swear....if I were a new member and got the kind of treatment the OP gets from you guys, I'd be out of the forum in a heartbeat.

I've thanked the people who actually tried to help. You others..........

Straight pipe would be too loud lol. I got manga flow 11225.

The mechanic did a great job welding everything on and eveything looks the same as it was stock. The sound is not an annoying, raspy sound. It is a deep, aggressive tone and I love it. I also had one of my resonator deleted... Was this a good or bad idea? Sounds good still not annoying just a deep nice tone.

Thanks to everyone who helped me out finding the right product!!

I'll get some pics and sound clip

Does removing one resonator reduce power?

Nope, it should actually get you more power since they're there to quiet down your exhaust. (I think...more knowledgeable members feel free to correct me). If anything it'd account for somewhere around .5hp, so you'd probably only notice it making a bit more noise.

unfortunately, removing resonators only produce sound.

No hp gains.

to net gains, you would have to change out the piping as the stock 2.25 is crushed bent and really restrictive.

go to a 2.5 - 3 inch mandrel bent pipe and you'll gain!!

exactly this.. most shops only have crush bend.. you will have to pay a bit more for higher end shop.

i was offered to do a full magnaflow exhaust for 500 bucks which includes piping, 1xmagnaflow resonator, 2 xmagnaflow mufflers, and 4 magnaflow tips.. but by that time i have already decided to get atlp.

Regardless of what potmilkz might think he doesnt speak for every member on this site, I'd like to hear a sound clip so post away.

It wont hurt but you wont see any noticeable gains from it.

Hi there,

I am contemplating to do the resonator delete as well, so if you could post sound clips that would be awesome.
