Right off the bat..Yes I searched for this...

I am not a mechanic.. I will admit it.. So i turn to the people who know what the shit they are talking about...Give me a house. I will build it. rip it down and do it again.. but cars... But I love making them my own.

The skinny of it is, I have a Auto w/ paddles and Im looking at getting Magnaflow mufflers when I purchase quad tips...

The people who have installed Magnaflow 11225 or 12138 mufflers.... Are your TLs Automatic or Standard?

Do they sound the same in each?

I have no personal experience in the matter, but from what I've read here FWD, AWD, AT & MT have gotten aftermarket mufflers. I don't believe there's a difference in sound between AT & MT, but there might be between 3.5 & 3.7.

 

There shouldn't be a difference of sound when accelerating. There will be a difference of sound when shifting.

 

The tone of the exhaust is not affected at all by the transmission. If you find an exhaust that sounds good on any TL (with similar other mods), chances are pretty good that it will sound about the same on yours. Dont be concerned about the transmission.

 

3.7 sounds slightly more aggressive then a 3.5
