K&N Filter

Part #: 33-2403

Fits like a glove. I noticed a little more intake noise. I put this on my AWD model, but I imagine it fits the Base as well.

I know K&N Filters are supposed to last longer than regular paper ones but from my past experience, it does nothing to enhance performance. I think K&N CAI systems are supposed to make a signficant difference (5-10 hp improvement?) but who knows when these will be available for the 4G.

The filter will last the life of your car if taken care of properly. Also I have seen the drop-in filter combined with some simple duct work give off the same gains as an aftermarket cold air intake. The thing about these filters, they work best when combined with other modifications. My car certainly isn't any slower and I never have to buy another filter again. Seems win win to me.

I would never put K & N filters on my car, too much chance for killing the motor. A whole lot more flows through them including dirt plus the oil can cause stuck butterfly valves and whatnot.

That's what some people say but I've been running K&N on all of my vehicles and never experienced any motor issues. I have only seen benefits.

All, I just purchased a K&N filter part number 33-2403. The filter has 6 sides to it and my factory filter is rectangular. I have the AWD model. Im wondering if they put the wrong filter in my box? The box has the correct part # on it. Anyway, the filter that was in this box will not fit in my air box. Was yours rectangular????????

I contacted the dealer I purchased from and he asked for a photo. After he saw the photo, he was shocked that K&N misboxed this filter. Guess what, the filter in it was part #33-2402 for Honda 4cyl. The dealer is going to send me a new one. This guy is great and has a great price with free shpg.

I have had the same experience with the filter in my 09 FWD TL.
Little more noise, cannot really say I can notice an improvment in performance or gas mileage.

Feel better for making the change regardless

I have used K & N Filters in all my cars as well without any issues. I have a CAI on my 4Runner and a drop in for the Maxima, but I made modifications to the airbox so that more air flows in.
I'm not ready to drill any holes or make any modifications to the TL yet. I will just put the filter in and see what happens.
I also run K & N on the Mustang as well.
