We offer a test pipe that eliminates the third cat.

The third cat isn't monitored so it won't trigger a CEL.

Your Acura has 3 cats. The two "Pre-cats" coming out of the motor can be replaced with PCD (pre cat deletes) that turn those into straight pipes, or with HFPC (High Flow Pre Cats) both from RV6 Performance.

The third cat is in the traditional spot under the car, and can be replaced.

You can do a "longtube j pipe" and get power gains from what is effectively a lower header and from the built in "test pipe" which is the term for a straight pipe that replaces the third cat.

XLR8 I believe also makes just a test-pipe that removes this third cat.

The J Pipe and test pipe are relatively easy installs. The PCDs and HFPC are for experienced wrenchers - but are still just take-off / bolt on type parts.

You will see some power gains. You will probably see some check engine lights with the PCDs. No one has reported check engine lights with the HFPC, or just the J pipe, or just the test pipe.

I have a sticky guide at the top of the perfomance section describing mods. I highly reccomend if you're wanting power to explore the exhaust options first, because I found this to be the biggest bottleneck.

You have choices from XLR8, ATLP, Comptech, or a DIY with mufflers of your choice.

Read the forums - this whole section has all the info, very easily accessible, that you're looking for.
