dyno tuning, e-tuning and data logging
dyno tuning, e-tuning and data logging
I'm not a tuner. I was wondering, when getting a car dyno tuned does the tuner save the data log from each run? I wasn't sure if they are trying to just watch the gauges in real time for needed adjustments or if they go back and review the data log and make tweaks for the next pull.
I understand with e-tuners you collect and share a data log and they work with you to get the tune dialed in over a few different street scenarios.
I was just trying to compare the dyno tuning to street tuning and whether both rely on data logs to improve the tune.

Thanks for the response. I was just trying to figure out if a tuner is doing a pull and doesn't save the data log from that pull, how are they reviewing the data to improve the tune for the next pull? Would a tuner just be going off of what they observed in real time for AFR, boost, timing, etc and then make modifications based on those recollections? I'm just surprised to hear a lot of tuners don't save the data logs from a pull.
