That sounds pretty good! I wonder what sound is better, Borla or Magnaflow?

They both sound good. That's my 4G in that video and my friend DreDuo has the Magnaflow mufflers. The Borla mufflers are definitely more noticeable in sound but not annoying.

So would you say Borla sounds more aggressive and Magnaflow somewhat subtle

Yes. Borla definitely sounds more aggressive and you have to really listen for the Magnaflow. IMO

Seems too loud to me but.... if the guy in the video recently had it put on the tone will change as well as soften a little.

Any particular reason why you want to go with the Borla's over the Magnaflow?

No. They're just some tips I got off of eBay. Some of the other members have gotten the same ones off of eBay also.

The muffler model number is 40357 from Borla. The tips aren't any particular brand. They were just some eBay tips. The tips were usually associated with Camaros, Pontiac G8's, and Corvettes on eBay.

Yes that statement is fairly accurate. The magnaflows are quiet when cruising around and normal driving, but more noticeable on startups and when you push the car hard. The Borlas are more like the infiniti exhaust system you can easily hear the note regardless for your driving style at the time.

I appreciate the feedback. I'm actually interested in just a slight upgrade, so leaning towards Magnaflow. It seems like it's something I'd be happy with.

I am currently considering those as well, just wanted to see other peoples opinions about em. To me the borlas seem a bit higher in tone.

What is the diameter of the exhaust line, before the exhaust? 2.25 I assume?

Let's say I buy this Borla exhausts, what's the inlet diameter of the tip I need to buy? 2.25 will be equal I don't think so, 2'' will go in the exhaust and 2.5'' would go over???

I am curious on the single outlet... How do i make 4 exhaust tips work? I am looking at getting these mufflers to go with 4 magnaflow 35124 tips. I am wondering how people make this setup work?

Hello,

I want to revisit this thread as I am interested in the Borla vs Magnaflow exhaust systems. I have seen the ATLP and XLR8 systems, but that seems to be what everyone else has. Does anyone have a link or video of the Borla and Magnaflow systems for the 3.5 motor?

Thank you

Andy
