Borla 40357

For those of you that have used this muffler, do you know if the existing tips from a TL-SH will fit, or would I need to buy new tips for it? Also, all the stock photos for the Borla 40357 show a single inlet/outlet, not dual outlet. Is that correct? Just want to make sure I'm ordering the correct part #. I found a great deal online for $70 each and wanted to get these installed.

Just got my mufflers too....I want to do the same, keep my OEM tips, I'm pretty sure it's easy to do.
Yesterday my car was on a lift (suspension) and we were looking at the mufflers, there's a big curve from the exhaust line to the mufflers, that's what is scaring me more than the OEM tip....

So...how difficult is the installation??

The original tips will fit and the single inlet/outlet configuration is correct. Muffler installation was a breeze! Simply cut and weld!

Great, thanks! Just ordered the mufflers, hopefully I can get them installed soon after. I want to maintain the stock look as much as possible, but the car is just too quiet the way it is now.

Congrats! I hope you enjoy yours. I still punch on my gas every chance I get.

Thanks man! Yours was actually the inspiration for me to order the Borla rather than the Magnaflow. I wanted something that sounded closer to my old Infiniti but not loud or attention grabbing. The Magnaflow barely seemed louder than stock.

When i read this kind of comments i see that you suppose something but actually you don't know shit because you don't have any mods on your exhaust. So do a move before talking shit. But maybe you are to cheep to try something.

Yeah. I love the sound of Borla mufflers mixed with my Takeda SRI. It sounds just right for me.

You're 4th post and you're talking shit to others? He wasn't even talking shit. He complimented his inspiration. He's obviously has heard the magna flows or he wouldn't be able to compare...

Let me correct you: When I read "these types" of comments I see that you suppose something but actually you don't know shit because you don't have any mods to your exhaust. Do a move before talking shit. Maybe you are "too" "cheap" to try something.

So now correct me on my mistakes please i Will translate my words the best that a can. I have been using magnaflow for the past 10 year on many of my cars. Right now i have some on my TL sh-awd manuel, on my silverado and on my monte carlo 1971. The sound is so amazing, they have been making excellent products for so long, so the only thing i said is that comming from a guy that hasn't done mods on his exhaust saying magnaflow is not like borla made me laugh, and probebly your right he probably have heard it before to compare. Like on youtube or something but wathever i didn't want to frustrate anyone, i tried to make short What i taught but like you can see english is not my first language sorry bud! ;-)

I am curious on the single outlet... How do i make 4 exhaust tips work? I am looking at getting these mufflers to go with 4 magnaflow 35124 tips. I am wondering how people make this setup work?

I'm not sure if the single tip will look right...a dual tip setup may be better. But in either case, they weld right on. If you take it to a reputable muffler shop it should be no problem on any type of tips you go with.

Side note...how do you like your TL compared to your G37S?

I like it a lot, the G was smaller inside and the sport seats were horrible for any normal sized person.
