Hey everyone, I've been looking to get a straight pipe 2.5" mandrel bend catback kit, (all pipe, has no mufflers or resonator) for my FWD 4G TL. I want to build my own custom setup without bending the pipe myself, but I've only been able to find kits for 3Gs and not 4Gs. After looking at OEM and Aftermarket systems for both cars, I cannot tell the difference except for the locations and types of the resonator and mufflers. I checked XLR8's site and they show actual pictures of their system installed on a 3G, but not a 4G FWD. The only difference I can tell of the XLR8s, is the pipe diameters on the 3G are 2.5" mid to 2 x 2.25" axle backs and the 4G FWD is 2.75" mid to 2 x 2.5" axle backs.

Can anyone help explain how they're any different from one another? I'm only concerned about the bends being in different locations and at different angles. I think that a straight pipe kit made for a 3G will work on a 4G without having to change any bends....

Also, correct me if I am wrong, but the 4G FWD OEM is 2.25" mid to 2 x 2" axle backs correct?
