If anyone has installed a Catch Can on a 2012 TL,
will you please post a photo of your setup?

TIA!

meh... i think these are purely cosmetic, and should only be done on show cars, or highly modified cars... kind of a waste of money, as it doesnt do anything for the car.... even though they claim they catch oil from entering the intake runners

I'll disagree entirely. The PCV system pumps (figuratively)
oil directly into the Throttle body. In carburetors, this is mitigate because gasoline acts as a solvent. The T/B runs dry - fuel is not passed through it so the oil collects, harden and fouls.
Pull the intake tube off and see how much oil is in your T/B.

The photo and link below is an extreme example but oil
does collect in the T/B to some extent.

Can anyone point out the 2012 TL PCV tube? There are a couple of tubes going to the T/B, so I'm not sure which is the PCV Tube.

Catch cans Definately do work.... Idk about having them on a tl unless your pushing crazy boost or extremely high redline ... Grant it even on stock cars oil gets pulled into the intake and builds up.... But most the manifolds I've pulled off of customers cars weren't too bad... And that's usually around 100kmiles for valve adjustments ....

Cheap insurance - $100 and a little time for installation is worth it to me. You sound like a Mechanic/Technician; can you point out the PCV hose on a 2012 TL?

There is something wrong if you have that much oil in your throttle body like the picture above. I've been working with Acura engines for the last... well you can see my join date. Nothing but standard carbon build up have I ever seen accumulate inside a throttle body on these motors if you are naturally aspirated. If you have flowing oil, there is something wrong with your car.

Now if you are turbo charged, I would recommend it. And I do have experience with owning a turbocharged vehicle prior to the Acura.

I've had the entire intake assembly apart down to seeing the valves and intake ports on the heads on my 25k mile 09 SH-AWD that uses an SRI. There wasn't a drop of oil to be found, and even the EGR ports were clean.

It's a clean motor. This would be a complete waste of time and effort.
